That depends on if you want to go with computer assisted trans or the older ones. There are many sites that offer a full build in many different applications such as mustangs, rangers, hotrods, etc if you goggle SHO swap you will find lots. My favourite is    http://www.shoforum.com

I was not sure what to build after I sold the 32 so when this SHO came up I bought it for the engine, front bucket seats and a few misc pieces but as things go I've changed my mind so this needs to go to a new home. These engines work with a Ranger or Aerostar auto or maneul trans, the intake is reversed so throttle body is out the front. It has 200k on it,runs great just went through drive clean so my plans were to put it on the engine stand replace water pump,t-belt and a new gasket set. The car has new ball joints and stut assemblys with springs, new cats.Car could be driven as is but has a little rust that may or mayn't pass inspection. 1995 Taurus SHO   $500.00 firm.

I think it would be perfect in a Focus Wagon! Does it run and drive/ have brakes and steer?

Yes everything works except sunroof and a/c needs a recharge. Tires are bad one has cords broke (egg shaped).I drove it home from north of me about 30-40 km,the guy had mags with new tires and it drove great. We switched wheels so I could still move it around when I got it home. The bad rust is over the right rear wheel,it had plastic mouldings along the bottom of the doors and there is more rust along there so I left them at his place.I had no interest in driving it on the road so I never looked very close or put it on a lift.I know the trans is worth about a hundred bucks on kijjijj and the front spindle-brake assembly is also worth some bucks as it's the latter model bigger brakes or bearings?? I was going to part it out as I'm sure I could get my money back (I paid 500) in parts then also a few more for the scap. I was going to remove the headrests from the seats and use them as well as the motor, then there is the little stuff power windows, locks, etc anyway just want to pass on the deal to someone on the site.

I never saw that one.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B77ufAzVRWw  There is another one that they have on the dyno pushing 485 hp with a single turbo.

Sorry, I was confused. I thought all the SHOs were small displacement V8s- didn't even pay attention to the 24 valve reference.

Still a great deal for someone, especially with all the extras mentioned like the seats, windows, locks etc...

Hey Randy. Any chance I could get you to take a rough measurement of that motor only. Just need length and width. Something like that would be wild in the econoline.

It's 24" wide including exhaust manifolds and 26" long from balancer to the bell housing bolts.

Hey Ziggy thats what I was thinking something a little different!!! You could have put it in the rear of the box, suspention and all just lock the wheels somehow or put an electric rack on and you could have 4 wheel steeringbiggrin

LOL!! Now that would have really screwed up a lot of people!! Was thinking of keeping it between the seats. Just thinking of running an auto behind it and setting the engine back a bit more. Would have balanced out the front/rear weight ratio. Happy to hear that it is sold. Those measurements will keep me thinking about something like that for awhile. Thanks again!
