This is the original Mad Mazda. Around the local Dragstrips ,it ran in the late 70's into the 80's. It was powered by a smallblock Chevy, mounted midship. Driver sat in the back/middle of the car. Car ran mid 10 seconds back in the day, with a healthy motor and automatic transmission. It has a full rollcage and racing seat, with outdated five point harness. Wheely wheels were mandatory on this car.If you seen it run you know why, lol. The rear end is a Dana 60 with 4:56 gears and a spool. The Goodyear slicks and front tires are the originals from the last time it raced. I have the original transmission blanket as well. The radiator and electric fan are original as well. I have the 6 inch driveshaft as well. It fits powerglides and 350 turbo trannys. The car needs motor, transmission, wiring and fuel. (fuel cell in trunk also) \ I rescued the car with intentions of putting it back on the dragstrip. I don't know how to put a price on the car, but I do know it has a lot of history around here as well as Indy,Michigan,Ohio, etc. I watched it way back when and it was a wild ride. Contacting me by phone is a good way of letting me know you are serious. Thanks for looking .In London call, 519-438-8068
Wow,that's great to see! I remember this car back @ Stthomas Dragway in the mid 70's when I worked for the Harvey's. The "Killer" Monza and Mad Mazda were painted the same yellow and black.Old Race cars never die, they just go racing again . Thanks for the memories.
