Here are a few pictures of my El camino.  Bought it first of May with the help of a fellow Ontario Rodder Gel camino 003.JPGel camino 004.JPGel camino 010.JPGel camino 014.JPGel camino 017.JPGazoo.  Since I bought it I changed the car to disc brakes and alternator instead of the generator,  New carb, Impala wheel which I bought from Tin Man in BC.  Just put on a new front bumper and changed out the tires and rims.  Still more to do but that can wait till after the cruising season is over.  Steve

The colour combo suits the car. That Bennett gas pump in front of the garage ain't bad either.

Bumper is a 59 Chevrolet bumper. I did lots of looking and found pictures of two others with the same bumper so I can only assume it was some kind of optional bumper?

Looks just as good in person! Love the two-tone and the 348 lurking under the hood!

Lookin' good Steve, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I love the new front bumper, the one it came with covered part of that beautiful grill, not to mention, I'm not a fan of rubber nipples.
It's a nice truck, I still regret passing it up. It obviously went to a good home. Keep us updated.

Here's a picture I took of the front, a few months before you got it.
For a before and after...

Steve Take a look at a 1960 chev rear bumper. I think thats what yours is[ at least the center section]. I like the look of it.

I was over at John's last weekend for a pig roast, he misses the ElCamino, he was asking about it. I let him know it was in good hands.

Man the 59 El Camino is my favorite of them all and yours is certainly a great example. Beautiful car.

looking at that brings some old memories. mom had a winged car, impala, and when they went south for a week in the winter in dads car a buddy and me would be out every nite for a cruise. remember unhooking the speedo for the week. the car was a 59, we pulled this in 63-64 and i was born in 50. do the math. memories. nice car.
