Noticed that the Majority of the cars don't have a frt. plate??? Some may be from out of Prov. but I have noticed at local cruise's that alot don't have them on the car??? If I tried this I'd be "busted' in the 1st. 5 miles!!!! Nice cars though, I heard from someone who "went' that the 59 Chevy was supposed to have well over the 100 Grand in the build???

I think you would be shocked at how many cars have had over 100G put into them. The sad part, is that most of these owners didn't even install one screw into their cars.disbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

And some of these owners shouldn't be allowed to put a screw in them either! I was looking at a rather rare big dollar restored Mopar recently, sure wasn't hard to tell what the shop did and the owner did! OMG!!!!

very traditional look, very little traditional, every thing on the car is brand new except engine block is probably from the 30's

everything else is brand new picked out of a so cal magazine or hortons book

but what a way to do it if you can afford it

Silver Deuce was a great looking car for what it is but I'd be careful calling a plastic car "traditional"

Sort of far off that description, lots of great features but not traditional by any means. Another $100,000

car easily.

Plastic cars belong in boxes labeled "AMT" , "Monogram" or "Revell" !!

I would never be able to tell that this car was fiberglass from the picture. Even if it is, so what! It's built in a traditional style using all the right stuff. I've seen some builds that go all the way including using a steel body and then throw off the look by putting modern radials on it - easy to fix?, sure, but much more obvious.

How far are you going to take the term traditional? Is it anything built before 1960? Do all the parts have to be bought from a classified or swap meet? Do 'Coker' or 'Diamond back' tires count?, even though they are new and store bought? Can a guy use base coat/clear coat paint or does it have to be hand rubbed lacquer?

I've seen a fair amount of "Pro Street" cars that have never been down the quarter mile. Does that disqualify them? Even more "Pro Tour" type builds have never seen a road course or autocross event. Can we take those cars seriously?

Bottom line is this: There are more '32 Fords on the road now than were originally produced - This guy built his the way he liked, I think it's awesome and would be quite proud of it! So what if he ordered any of it through a catalog? Not everyone has the patience to scour swap meets for years to find that authentic piece that will need to be reworked anyway before going onto a quality build.

As someone mentioned above, let's keep the H.A.M.B. mentality on the  H.A.M.B where it belongs. My $0.05.

One thing i noticed about the above mentioned '32 on Friday night was how nice it looked for a "steel" car. I commented that it must be a Brookville body. It looked pretty steel to me, even in the half darkness. The front body mounts look like steel and the cowl lip to firewall flange looks pretty thin/sculpted to be 'glass imo.
