Hey everyone,

A friend text me yesterday saying that Sailor Jerry has contacted him to get a bunch of car guys together for a show in downtown Toronto (Possible Date) Sept. 27th.

Its a day street party with cars, booze, music etc all put on by Sailer Jerry and maybe some other alcohol brands. It will carry on throughout the night but you wouldn't have to stay unless you wanted too.

If you would go, they want a picture of your car first, just post a pic here I guess and I'll forward them.

i'm up for a party but downtown hog town i don't know. gettin there ain't the problem, its getting outta there thats the problem. key words being Party-Booze-3/4 Women. i'm getting to old for this stuff, and it sucks.

I dont want to start a discussion about what a rat rod is. BUT

Back in the 70s gary bakersfield coined the fraze rat rod while writing an article for hot rod magazine about a car club in LA. he said the cars were amazing but appeared RATTY AN UN FINISHED. Thats were the term came from

Sounds like fun, other than its on queen street right downtown, and tatoo has no lot - so where is the car show?

Not to mention its poserville there and a ****ty venue. I live 10 minutes away...

They have it right on Queen St. They line up all the cars.
I think the venue will be good, Ill Scarlett is playing and free booze...besides if it sucks it's still free booze and we all get an excuse to meet up and hang out and talk cars.

I personally just like the drive out along the QEW and all the gawkers taking pictures and giving thumbs up...makes you really appreciate what your driving.

All the walkabilly's will be there, tatoo'd and pretending to be tough guys or hot rodders, but don't own a car, can't turn a wrench, and are only into the scene because its fashionable. They are a form of hipster. Its queen west. what do you expect?

The girls can be pretty hot but are generally high maintenance.  They are the Alfa Romeo's of chicks.

All I know is I am going to have a fun evening with hopefully a bunch of "like minded" rodders. I don't really give a rats a** what the rest of the posers or nasty bad people are doing. I have hard enough time worrying about me!

I have been to this place with the car many times and has always been a blast.
A lot of custom choppers hang out here (I know 80% of them) all good guys and guys from Rumblers Canada favour this place along with the Bottom Feeders (local hot rod/rat rod cc)
The girls are pretty hot and some may be high maintenance...but who wants to go and find a future ex wife here? Plenty of fish in the sea...just bang'em and throw em back!

So who else is coming to this event besides Scott and I ???
