For sale is a drop axle -- straight axle for your hot rod or rat rod,,it came from a 40 ford,,has a disc conversion on the brake system,,5 x 4 1/2 bolt pattern,,,comes with all in the pics and a 4 link chrome bar set up....$280 or swap/trade for some 30 ford coupe parts...
 
NEED... sheet metal for under the seat,
wood kit for the roof,
 4 inch drop axle;
AND GLASS....etc

tain't a drop axle....

I don't think you are measuring correctly.

The tape measure should hook over the first stud, then read the measurement to the centre of the second stud.

 If you are talking about the PCD, then you should measure from the centre of a stud to the centre of the hub, then double that number.

Looks like a 37  to 41 stock ford axle . technically the factory drop is 2.125 so you could say its dropped smile

If you are looking for an axle or one dropped, try Joe's speed shop. 1/3 the price of Sids.

 What is PCD? That may work on a hub with an even number of studs, but it won't work on a 5 stud hub.

 If you look at Sid's web site just above the 1928-31 axles he states all 28 -36 ford axles dropped buy Joe's speed shop and post's Joe's phone number. I have to give him credit for being upfront about this. If you chose to deal with Sid for a 28-36 ford axle he is going to charge you to send it to Joe down the street , pick it up and handling . I would think Joe will be more to drop a chev axle because he would do the same. Anyway a dam good website full of  use full information.

 

Bunks axle is long gone.....
