Looking for a Truck Cap for 1998 F150 Super Cab

It's got the shorter box with straight sides.

Does it need to come from another F150, or are these things a standard fit?

Most used caps run from free up to $600-$700 range. What length is your box??? Looks to be an 6.5 footer???

Found this, wrong colour and unsure as to what size box: ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-auto-parts-tires-other-parts-accessories-Ford-F150-truck-cap-Leer-fits-1997-2004-W0QQAdIdZ519710458

Here is another place that might have what you need. They are about 80 km's north of your place.

Kijiji Ontario > Toronto (GTA) > Oakville / Halton Region > cars & vehicles > auto parts, tires > other parts, accessories > Ad ID 518296452

here is their website: ontariotruckcaps.com

Going to be dealing with a dealer, so there is a good chance the price will be a bit higher, but better chance of getting the right colour and fit and less time chasing dead ends and bad leads.

I have one off the 97 GMC I just bought....Not sure if I want to keep it or not, I have it off right now so I can tow my 5th wheel.

I somehow think the back of the cab line has to fit properly...Showing it here so you can compare to your truck

Some Ford and GM boxes are also different widths.

It is more than just the width. Chevy boxes are tapered at the rear. Another thing is the angle of the cab's rear wall.

Thanks Ziggy. I called them yesterday and they quoted me 500 to 600 which I thought was pretty steep for an old used cap.

Yes, 6.5 foot cap required.

I think I'll just be putting the vinyl cover on for winter. That's far too much out of the hot rod fund.

Here is a guy that is selling a truck just like yours. He has a matching cap. Might be able to call and buy just the cap???

Here is one up in Huntsville. Looks like it needs a bit of fiberglass repair in the drivers side upper front corner. That is an easy fix. Looks like it fits your truck. Maybe one of the guys up in Huntsville area could take a better look at it for you. If it was me, I'd offer him $100 and see what happens.

I have a cap off of a '99 Ford F150. If you give me the length I'l measure it. Or, if you want to see it I'm only down the road in Brantford.

That doesn't stand out at all.

LOL

I once had a tan truck cap on my two tone emerald green and grey truck. I am no one to judge!

Looks like a great find to me!
