I'm looking for a Step Side Short Box for my 1957 Chev truck project.

Let me know if you have, or know of a 1955 to 58 Chev or GM truck box

even if it doesn't have a floor, I expect to replace it anyways

I think the side step didnt change to 66 fenders tailgate are the same

They are the same 55' 2nd edition to 66 except for minor differences, and all can be made to work.

i'm thinkin the replacement box on my truck is a 66. mainly the board width were different but i made my own boards using plastic lumber so i had to drill the holes into the cross struts for the different spacing. mine came from bills trucks.

Like Atomsplitter said, try Bill's trucks in Courtice. If he has one, I can stop in and check to see what shape it's in and let you know.

The big difference between years is the wood - number of boards etc....other than that they are basically the same. I forget what year they tailgate changed slightly also - just a cosmetic change to the embossed chevrolet.
