Use an old acetylene cylinder with a dummy regulator on it. I have never actually seen that done, but would look cool and would be very safe.

look for a couple old mild cans or a couple very large fire extinguishers

the extinguishers hoses could be the fuel lines or at least hide the fuel lines

or an old copper vessel set up to look like a still

It's out of a big Gravely garden tractor but I don't think it would be that big. Mine is in really good condition and I've had it for years. Too good to throw out. If you think it might work for you, I will measure it.

If you make it out of copper, some moron might steal it for scrap...seen copper mysteriously disappear from vacant/unguarded buildings...unbelievable.

Metric Length x width x depth (Centimeters) total =
60 x 40 x 30 = 72000 divide by 1000 (or just use the first 2 digits unless you go over 100 then use 3.

Litres (72) divided by 4.54 = Imperial (Canadian) gallons.

Most Tape measures are in Inches and centimeters, maybe millimeters.

Google Moeller (yes, the Boat and Toilet people) and research "below deck fuel tanks" for boats. They have over 100 different ones that come with fuel sending units that are of the Stewart Warner wiring program.

I realize that is not "witty", I do like the large artillery style. Then again a Coke, or other, beverage cooler.
