there was some guy out vancouver way who advertized in the trader a lot awhile ago. he would have 4-5 at a time what looked like some decent stuff and really reasonable shipping rates. then there was the older guy up east of ottawa that always had quite a few but most never had power trains. i have been there a couple of times snooping. they weren't what you would call cheap for rollers but most were very useable. somebody on here should know about him and on another forum i'm on, fbbo, there are guys out west that should know the other guy. there were a couple of guys in the guelph/ kitchener area who advertized numerous cars also.
sorry i can't remember their names, brain fart, but a little snooping should find them.

There was a guy west of Ottawa , Wayne Rowe over in Carp, passed away a couple years ago. His cars were rollers, mainly came from Arizona, $3500 and up.
I need someone to call and see if the car is still for sale , the condition of the floors and rails ( I expect them to be near mint given the miles) what motor is in it , a/c etc - there are no details
He is asking $18 - want to know if he would take less - say $16,500 as a starting bid
I could come get it anytime convenient except tommorrow
I will pay for your time and phone call via Paypal or interact email
email me here or at ckr5610@hotmail.com if you can hel p me please and thanks
Ken

If this was the same guy that I am thinking about. He bought some of them cars complete and after he got them home, he would pull the driveline out and then sell them as rollers. Then he would try to sell you the driveline afterwards.

Have you tried autotrader.ca ?? key word is .ca This will give you Canadian content. Once you open the page. Fill in the location= Douro On. Click on mileage and pick a distance or go provincial or national. Then choose make. then choose model and then have fun!!

This trick is to get the car across the border easily, when there is no drivetrain, they are considered parts. Not cars..

Just a heads up. I bought a car from an OPP over Bradford way a couple of years ago. When I was first looking at his, he warned me not to buy anything from Eastern Ontario or Quebec. The risk of fraud just isn't worth the risk. Branded cars go from Ontario to Quebec, registered there where there is no branding. Then the cars are shipped back to Ontario with a clean sheet. There is a lot of hanky panky with snowmobiles and four wheelers too according to a friend in that business. No matter where you buy, BE CAREFUL.
Used to make me laugh years ago when we would occasionally run the odd car to the auction in Courtice. The Quebec cars would show up and you really
watched them, one Caprice I recall had three power window doors and on roll up door on the passengers rear. There was always odd interior pieces etc..
and you could tell that the serial plates had been changed on the dash because the rivets were shiny, new basic pop rivets..
Was at a wreckers yard in Toronto one time picking up a slide off truck we'd bought when they were about to lose it, in drives a Quebec based slideoff with three
wrecks on board, on was a near new Lincoln Towncar with only one decent door on the whole car yet t was being taken to laBelle Provence (hmm??)
the guy running the yard says, watch this. He calls over to the driver of the french truck and says, want to sell that door? Guy says, sure I have no need for it....
