...go to the HAMB , Traditional Discussion ( not Customs ) and look for the "62 Impala Garage Find " thread ....it may be back several pages . I found it a very enjoyable read . It is 14 pages and it starts in May of 2011 to present ....I won't give it away . All I can say is jaw dropping . It doesn't matter what brand you favour , you'll like this story .
Poncho was kind enough to supply the correct link ....I'm still in Grade 1 on " copy and paste " .....I used to have a 4 spd , dual quad , positraction 409 back in '67 only it was in a '59 Biscayne body . Bought the whole thing for $1300 , over in Detroit , from a poor guy who got drafted and shipped to 'Nam . Infact I gave the cash to his mom when I got to the house because he had reported the day before .....sad part , I don't believe he came back .
That about made my day ..WoW !!!! what a great story and still unfolding..Yah wonder how many of these great finds are still out there? Kinda makes yah feel all fuzzy and warm..Thanks for sharing that and thanks Harry for posting the link..I think it's great that you keep the forum open to all these kinds of things..I was on a board once that if any got posted, often got deleted quickly.. Thanks for being open minded and comfortable in your skin..That's the kind of story that makes this hobby spritual ...
I wondered if anyone of the moderators would be upset with a HAMB link .......but then I was directed to THIS site by a member of both sites , so it all works out ....can't remember who he was but I got not 1 but 2 pms from him about Ontario Rodders . So I joined . End of story .
Glad you liked the 409 story ...it is a "feel good " one .
