This promises to be great show. It will be my first time showing a car at a "real" car show. Can't think of a better bunch to hang with in the basement.
(Still on the hunt for a enclosed trailer. Something between 24' to 28' would work great.)

This is one of the best shows it is always exciting and don't forget to do the basement. I will never do the bus tour thing again though. And the only good bus is the tunnel bus right to the show. We were detained at the border for 3HRS the last time but that is another story.
There is nothing that compares with Detroit Autorama. You have to go to really understand what it's all about.Don't even try to compare it with local shows like Mega speed. Not the same animal.I've been going since 1961 and recomend Fri. as its not as crowded as Saturday. It opens at noon on Friday .

Wow....still amazes me the guys that are gearheads that havn't gone......I'm going on 30 years now and most of those years, I was down for 2 days ....lol......where does the time go but it's the largest USA show of it's type and probably the largest custom/hot rod show in the world. That's why all the big names of the industry come out every year and why many of the west coast movers and shakers don't miss it. All I can add is wear some confortable shoes......it's more then a full day of viewing and taking in the action.
As Bob said......if you havn't been then you can't compare to Mega Speed.......Mega Speed can only hope to be compared to Detroit in some small way.
If you make the trip......it's a blast.......I'll be down for the full 4 days.......I know it went by way too fast last year.......safe travels!
I am going to go to the show with my son. From my research, it looks like it is going to be amazing. Should help with different directions and ideas for the upcoming build.
If you can get there for Friday when it opens, it really is worth it. You can actually get up close to the cars and really check them out. I'll be there Friday and Saturday. Toying with the idea of heading down Thursday to "help" the ELTA brothers get their cars setup. Looks like I'll have a couple renderings accompanying cars in the basement too....
See you there!
