Great day in Hog town. Thanks a million Pugsy for hosting and opening the shop up for us to learn a bit(or a lot) , meet fellow members and a whole lot of Bench racing and noise making. Thanks to fellow members who offered advice and tips to those of us who were trying to learn something new. There were lots of you and I can't name them all but you know who you are. Ben and I had a great time. I must say that the kid impressed me with his "I ain't quitting until I get this mini fender done" attitude. We both tried our hand at tig welding and at the end of the day I must say that his weld looked better than mine. It was my glasses .... Ya Ya that's it... my glasses!!

Looking forward to next year in Hog town.
Thanks Again
Rich

Thanks Pugsy for hosting this awesome event again this year. It was good to meet some more of the guys again this year.
My friend Ben got the crease in his Model A door out and learned 17 ways to put a patch in the bottom.smile

The BBQ was cooked to perfection.

Hemi gave me a few pointers and I was TIG welding aluminum. biggrin

Hemi also proved that you can't weld stainless and aluminum together. He did try very hard though.wink

Thanks Jari !!

First of all very nice meeting you!

Thanks for such a great event and hospitality, thanks for the advice with all the tools and showing how they work, great inspiration also with a bunch of home made tools!

And thanks for the help with the piece I made (well you made all the difficult things for it and I was just hanging on the piece) and thanks for the material even!

Very nice meeting also all the other guys and thanks for all the help out there, and sorry for not remembering everyone's names when we meet next time... especially thanks to the guy (Barry?) who let me loan his bead roller and even helped me to use that!

Hey Jari, Thanks again for hosting the Hogtown meet. It was great to meet some guys from the forum, and do a little metal work. I really enjoyed the TIG welding, and was glad I got to see some masters at work.
Unfortunately my wife isn't feeling well today so I will have to stay home and mind the little one so she can rest.
I appreciated the time you took to show me around and I will be coming back for sure in 2015!

Maybe I will see some of youz guyz at Lindsay next weekend.

Cheers,
Chance

I'd like to thank everyone for coming to the meet.

I was sick all weekend and didn't take many pics.
Thanks to Steve for getting the excellent shots.

Thanks to Chris Stapely for the cool sign. I will post a pic or two of it later.
It really means a lot to me.

And of course a big thanks to my buddy Mark for cookin up all the grub and helping out around the shop.

Sorry to anyone I may have not helped out when you needed assistance. Having a cold and running around wasn't easy.
Hopefully, I'll be in better shape next year.

Thanks again to every one who came. If you weren't there, it wouldn't have been a meet.

Hi Guys.

LOST AND FOUND: Please send PM's to me to get this stuff back

I found a small box with some metal shaping dies, a hammer, and a couple pairs of glasses.

Mike lost a pair of glasses in a black case. Can everyone that brought tools along check to see if they wound up in your box.

Thanks.

I didn't lose anything and came home with no extras, but I do remember seeing a black case for glasses at the central welding table:

Aha.  A clue, the hunt is on. I'll take a look in that area tomorrow morning.

BTW, is it OK for me to copy your pics? I'd like to post them to the thread I have at allmetalshaping.

Thanks Steve.

Hey Pugsy, credit where due on the sign too, Chris Sullivan from Oshawa came two years ago as well, he had the pedal car body making the rear quarter panel for . He started this panel and was the one to take it to Ofdball kustoms for the lovers as well, we really appreciated what you showed us and it's a simple way to pay forward. I will do something with the Chrysler when you get it figured out what it's going to look like eventually,oh yeah and your serial plate.. The glasses by the welding stand were definitely the pair Dan had with a case near his welding helmet...

I only took a couple of pics of the meet and they came out blurry so I won't post them. Hopefully next year I'll be feeling better and will do a better job with the updates and pics.

Thanks again to everyone that came.
