I can see that - its in the leading edge of the fenders and the nondescript grille.

It reminds me of a Falcon....oh....wait a sec....

To me, its todays cars that all look the same. Sure, those years had a little similarity, but I cant tell one from another today....nor do I care

Back when I was kid in the 50's we could trll every car model & maker from a block away!!! Nowdays they all have the "jelly bean" look, & sad to say can't tell what it is untill I can see the badge!!!! Lost all their identity!!!!!!!

I agree, they all look alike. A lot would have to do with fuel economy and aerodynamics. But how many of the modern cars will become classics or collectables? = very few.

Agree with the jelly bean tag, i don't know one from another, and yup, i don't care either.

It all started back in the teens, '20s, and '30s - so similar. The '40s, '50s, '60s, '70s and yes even the '80s they did a much better job of trying to show some individual identity, but then came the '90s - ugh. Lately the Fords seem to have their own identity, but the trouble is they all look the same within the brand! The Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, and Escape all look the same and if you've seen the new 2015 Mustang you know that it too looks the same as the rest of their line up - Crazy! I have noticed that a few Kia models are kinda similar to the Fords though.

On the up side, It's nice to see a few body lines sculpted into the body work lately. I think the late '90s Taurus was the all time low in car design - absolutely zero imagination on that one!
