There is a company in London that has a hole fleet of them.
This company refinishes pretend marble bath tubs, showers ETC.
Not sure if they are right hand drive but they are the real small Jap trucks.
Canada Post has thousands of right hand drive trucks
TMJ
I've seen them for sale cheap. I wondered how safe they are but they must be meeting Canadian standards to be able to get them here. What is your concern about them? Is it the right hand drive?
No worse than the "E" bikes that seem to be getting popular..........or the "handicapped?" folks that ride their electric scooters down the middle of the road.............Or, the big fat lazy slob in our town who rides his lawn tractor to the beer store................
There are a couple of those little trucks around here...at least they are licensed.
I would think passing and left hand turns would be the only drawback. line of site from the passenger seat won't be as good. then again if your only talking about the mini truck I don't think you will have to worry about it.

Ya, I think they are only about 4'wide.

I kinda like the look of those little trucks. There was one being sold here locally (van) and it had an aftermaket front end on it to make it look like the old VW buses. It had a 3 cylinder engine if I recall. I was told that once these vehicle reach a certain mileage (80000K ? ), Japanese emission laws make the owners replace the engines with new ones. I guess it's cheaper to replace the whole vehicle.
How well do they do / last on the highway?
I heard those little 3 cylinder Sprints and Smart cars don't last when driving long distances at our highways speeds. More of a inner-city commuter I hear.
My daughter absolutely loves that little faux WV van!

Not sure about the sprint but the smart car is diesel. know a guy that had one and drove it as a sale's rep all over Ontario seemed to stand up well mostly highway. Nissan racing just came out with a 3 cylinder 1.5 L 80 pounds 400 hp
(Those little Sprints with the 3 cyl engine were only 1 liter or 60 cu. inches. tough engine, guy here had at least 4 of them over the years on a rural mail route over all kinds of rough roads, only thing with them was the continual stop and go driving , which wore out the brakes every 6 weeks or so. They had 200-300k on them, and he drove the snot out of them as he delivered rural mail in the mornings, then newspapers in the afternoon.)
Wow those Japanese car nuts have some of the wildest stuff I have ever seen.First tuners, then those crazey Pokeyman vans, then those cars with the 10ft pipes and giant spoilers and now this.Got to hand it to them they always keep it interesting. Ed
