thought the new fuel pump and relay fixed the intermittent starting problem on my 90 chevy . Started it repeatedly in the garage for 2 days to be sure. Yesterday I went to go to work and.........it turned over but wouldn't start. So last night after work I replaced the cap, rotor, wires, plugs and ICM. It fired right up.
I did find what I think was one of the problems.........the rotor and cap were well worn and the centre electrode had no spring .

well if nothing else you know what you have now. good call
I bought the truck last april and ordered all the ignition stuff before it arrived .....then once it was here it looked like there was no need to replace them so I stuck them on a shelf....guess I shoulda replaced them then...but ..oh well. ...at least I didn't pay someone else to do the work.
