There was an episode on Daily Planet last night about Ernie Adams and his hand built Dwarf Cars. They are pretty cool.

I could not find the Daily Planet episode online so here is a couple of youtube links.

Enjoybiggrin

kinda pointless really as i cant see a 300lb plus dude driving one of these but amazing given this guy hand fabbed the bodies and they are pretty much correct replicas of the real things.  i recall seeing these minature cars you could buy that were mercedes replicas, for your spoiled brat rich kid who had everything, they were as much as a real mercedes i think.  these cars would be like driving most newer cars today as you can barely fit inside them!

Incredible, Mr Adams is at least 6 feet and looks comfortable in there, he's driven the Merc from Phoenix to Indy to attend the James Dean show, put over 30,000 miles on the car so far.

I saw the Daily Planet episode just over a year ago I think and I was blown away!

Months later I saw the you tube vids - absolutely incredible!!! He took a page right out of ol' Smokey Yunick's book - anyone remember the 7/8ths scale Chevelle from 1966?

It's pretty funny..in the Daily Planet profile the old man won't let his son drive any of the cars and the son says he has never driven one.

I wouldn't call any of that pointless. More like a purpose
Bet you he doesn't ask himself What will I leave behind when I'm gone!
