Will If it doesn't win the Ridler politics took over. Workmanship was unreal but i would probaly remove that 'cowcatcher' front spoiler. If it does win it would be the 3rd Canadian to do so. Even with all the glitter upstairs the basement was the place to be. The quality of most of the cars down there has gone up every year.

I agree Bob. You and I have been going to this show for many years, long before the basement was being used. Most of the builds upstairs are now over the top for most average guys, but they are great to look at.
The basement now has something for everyone, especially the place to sit with the ELTA guys. Thank you so much guys for providing a seat for these tired old legs. Next year I think I will just go and sit and look at Darwin's and Mark's pictures when I get home.
Will, those are some nice shots of a very sweet build! Agree, very deserving! Keep an eye out for my event coverage - I've got some shots from very interesting angles.

The reason I aksed about the roof is, the quarter window is missing. It looks like part of a Corvette roof was used. His wagon was the best. It sold for way too low.
There has been 3 Canadian Ridler winners.

It is a late rivi rear window.. and actually NOS they sourced less than 30 days ago.... I was told they had a paint issue on the way to Detroit... so they made a few phone calls and arrangements were made with Troy to use his shop.. where they repainted the car on tuesday,,, and had it at the hall on wednesday.. new rear window installed..
all the fasteners on that car where built .. no factory fasteners were used... the gaskets behind the door handles for example, they are not factory, but hand built copper ...
the strange thing to see is the turbos in the trunk! ... and the pressure tube running thru the dash... easy to say now.. but I would have put a roll cage in to use as the turbo pressure conduit from the rear of the car...
the wheels are one of... do you call them knock off.. or spinner,,, ??? as they only mount with the one large center "nut"
have you ever seen 50 names on the thank-you sign ?? wow ... 5yrs in hiding... and none of them spilled the beans !

what I find that has become a trend is giant rims, nobody and I mean nobody runs a 15 or even a 16 inch rim on any big buck show car/truck. maybe the rat truck needs some 20's. then again big rims are affordable now as ten years ago they were not. how the times have changed
Jarvis 1 Two previous Canadian winners of the Ridler and a Canadian who moved to the U.S. and built the car in the U.S. also won the Ridler.Am I correct? Anyway we now have another.
John Greer from Hamilton won in 1971 while he was working in Detroit.
He now lives in Amherstburg. Never took out citizenship in USA.
George Busti built the Brink's Express at Creative Customs in Detroit.
I was there.
The Brinks is now in Oregon.
Jarvis1 I was pretty sure thats where you were going. Greers a good dude and he should try to change the record,if he even cares.I understand your position. Unfortunatly most acounts show only two Canadian [now three] Ridler winners.I personaly like the idea of four.
