Is there anybody out there with a good working knowledge of superchargers, calculating boost, drive ratios and effective compression ratios. I have read many of the supercharger web sites but none really deal with my situation. Talked to the guy at Dyers and maybe because they weren't doing the work, but he gave me a blank stare. If you have read my Dog Spit post in the build section, you will know I am running a Rover/300Buick setup giving me 292.5 cu." and a GMC 6/53 blower. The engine will be built with the right pieces and I am looking for a final 12:1 effective compression ratio. I also need a machinist to make the snout (including splines) and mount the drive pulleys. I had originally intended to go down to Big Al's in Connecticut, but I would rather keep the work local. If there is no one on the site that can handle this, perhaps you have dealt with a shop that specializes in this sort of thing. I am in Prince Edward County and the closer the better, but I have travelled great distances to get it done right.
back when i used to fantisize about putting a blower on something i found this site that you could use to calculate your exact needs and even the horspower you would potentially get! its pretty much all math as far i know.
Wuga,
Sherwood and I were talking about your snout on the weekend. Why not talk to Dan (Hemi43). I did and the answer was "I probably can"!!! PM him and discuss it.
