Well here she is. It has a 455 bored .030 over hence the TA462 name. It has a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and carb, Crane Ram Air 4 cam, Harland Sharp roller rocker arms etc. It's kinda loud with the headers and 40 Series Flowmasters. Kids like it, wives don't. I've been thinking about taking off the Draglites and putting the Snowflake wheels back on it to give it more of a sleeper look. The rear end has 3.42 gears in it. I tried 3.73's but it seemed like it would run out of motor on the top end when I use to race it so I went back to the 3.42's. The interior is all stock but faded. I got to redo that this year for sure. I've owned this car for 20 years now and don't ever plan on selling it.
Hey cool ride ,we are kind of in the same game. Love the style and the gold coulor is different. I have a 78 TA with a 461 stroker, cnc ported aluminum heads, roller valvetrain etc TH400 342s. Car looks stock and runs great, suprised a whole bunch of big block Chevy guys at the strip.
Building a Pontiac is dedicated deal because of the lack of knowledge out there (locally) but there are good sources across north america that been there done that.
I have been runnin snow flakes and have a second set with drag radials to keep the look.
Must say i laughed when you mentioned kids love it ,wife doesnt haha.......

Torquewar, I use to run my drag radials on a set of snowflakes as well, I couldn't afford another set of Draglites, lol. I know what you mean about building a Pontiac. Your car sounds great, post some pics of it.
