w18480 is the code on it

can anyone provide a little info

W18480 is the serial number . Guess w =Windsor  R = Regina Canadian #s not a hole lot out there I know that the states moved the serial in 38 to the flat beside the distributor some 37-39 casting #s

If that number matches the serial number on your ownership and you can't locate those numbers anywhere on the body or chassis, it might be a good idea to keep that engine around.
