I recently sold one on kijiji for $300, it was a BOP bolt pattern from a 70 Buick.
It was in very good condition and clean, no oil/grease at all on it.

EDIT:: Took almost 6 months to get rid of it. List it, take it off for a bit, list it again. patience is the key.

so a non sbc 400? on the floor with a rag stuck in the filler tube hole?  might be a hard sell as it cant be determined if it works or not.  if the fluid is clean, dark is ok but not smelling of burntness, it could be worth the money if the seller has his story straight and pretty much is willing to guarentee it a working trans.

I was searching the market last fall for a th400 BOP pattern they do seem to be in that 2-300 range. I found 3-4 listed ,they arent really a common item and picked the one close to home . 58 chev has it right, patience is key.
