these are insanley priced, i see restored ones priced over 2000 dollars at the flea markets.  even ones that dont work that are dented and smashed are still being marketed for huge bucks.  get on the bandwagon while you can

Actually a lot of this stuff is dropping in price as old guys are dumping there hoards and not a lot of people are into spending money on automotive stuff anymore in this economy.I think you would be lucky if he gave you $100 for it in that condition. By the way it would probably cost more than $5oo to restor it so $100 profit does not seem unreasonable to me. Ed

Chuk, you have a Gilbarco air meter. They are not as common as the ECO-AIR, but also not as high demand.
It's a newer model, due to the rotary adjusting knob, is not a crank handle.
It's worth a few dollars still.

Tough fishing here!!! 34guy is right and they have always been elusive for a good price. Better than money in the bank and doesn't take much room on the shelve................

Here's mine,

The hose on them is usually 20 feet long, so you can pull straight up to it and reach the rear tires.

My line of thinking is fairly messed up , but even I can't imagine what the hell you would be doing with an airline of any type in your rec room. Really how often are you filling your car  tires that you need one of these gizmos. Frankly my dogs would love one but theres no way Id put it in the house for them.

Yes let's see your tasteful rec-room.

Don't forget your rec-room can be your garage. I should have said Mancave which takes in all spaces of men.

Thank you   but no   it was in a Sunoco station for years in Seaforth On.   I used to deliver tires to the garage from 2000-06   They renovated and "gave it to me"

He use to do our old antique crank phones for the antique shop and he is into the air meters now.
1- seven o5-323-944 eight. Or cell 705-323-212 eight
tell him you were talking to Brian Wilson or maybe not.

Patience is a virtue. I will post photos when it is complete.

American restoration is neat but that doesn't mean that these things "should" be restored. Makes the room look like a Mississippi mobile home or cheap wax museum that you paid too much admission on just remember all the inferior junk we used to use. Turning automotive antiques into furniture does not automatically make "art" if ever.... It makes it repainted junk in your living room. Like wagon wheels are not meant for being made into coffee tables nor are other automotive parts meant to either.

A couch made from a old car is an old worn-out hokey idea. Having a black leather couch that looks like it was purposely designed by Maserati?? NOW we're talking.

My bad - I tend to realize that we all have our own version of discerning tastes. I haven't seen anything that impressed me yet.

LOL. This is a WTB thread, not a Want to Impress You thread. I just want to buy an Eco air meter.
And I would think that you are dangerously close to the 1 week ban rule for unsolicited comments on a classified thread. Just sayin.
That said, I would join in on a discussion about automotive memorabilia and it's artistic value, in a different thread.
