We're going to check it out this year... so if any of you guys are interested in a restored eco air meter for $950 look for an electric blue '41 chev pick up.
I will have the camper there Thursday night, will be in Stirling for the whole weekend as I have since it's inception. Wouldn't miss it for the world, will also look forward to a Saturday evening pinstriping session with some of our like minded friends then on to the live entertainment scheduled for Saturday night...
Look for my fifth wheel and red Ford FX4 dead Center in the main field, drop by and say hello..

Vending at Lindsay again. I am told if you are not selling automotive related at Lindsay this year they will not reregister you for next year so they must be booked up or close to it. Just saying.

Bah hahaha you guys are a riot! Ive got a busy wknd, so only gonna make it to Lindsay as it is the closer of the two..and I went last year and it was pretty cool. My daughter and I are gonna drag mommy along with us again this year. :P Looking forward to her excitement when she sees the hotrods!!! But which ever one you are going to I hope the weather is another beauty day like it was last year!
Cheers!!
Read this add published by Stirling advertising their event http://www.stirling-rawdon.com/stirling-automotive-antique-flea-market/ how much automotive will be left there in a couple of years? I guess when Jason Detlor said the flea market will be in Stirling for years to come he did not say what kind of flea market.
Now I see someone had that first Stirling add link removed about the Stirling flea market now having every thing from automotive to arts and crafts and every thing in between.
Why are you so down on Sterling Joe.It's getting really lame.If you don't want to go to Sterling don't go.But let it go, however they screwed you let it go for gawd sakes. Ed
I agree Ed, I'm pretty sure we will do just fine without those who are so adamant about Lindsay too, would have been a vendor at both like many others would have had the AACA been sharp enough to move the date when they were moving their venue...

Hey Glen, drop around my site and I will give you Corinne's dragonfly pinstripe...look for my Red Ford FX4 and Porwler camper dead Center in the main field... Chris.
Ya, looks like I'll be saving myself a three hour trek to Stirling. I had intention on hitting Stirling Saturday, and go to Lindsay on my way back Sunday, but....not so much anymore.
Got a lot of stuff to clean/clear up at home still.
I wouldnt miss Stirling for anything. Small venu? Better get your glasses fixed. Got bigger after the Lindsay deal split off. Where we used to park is now all vendors. It is now the only one I go to. Partially because it is nearby but still always an unpredictable amount of interesting stuff to see. There is a very active Rodding community and Racer community (2 drag strips and one dirt track) nearby so there is always lots of stuff for everyone. Almost never come home empty. If you live near Lindsay I can understand a preference to go there but if you live near or east of Belleville then Stirling is a excellent deal.
Always a lot of fun. Good deals and old friends from years gone by. Hope to see some of you there. Rain? It always rains. so what? I wasn't going for the weather. I go for the huge selection of parts and projects.

I had a great day! Came home with a few treasures. Met a lot of old friends including Gary Moorehead from Arnprior who I first met about 1964. He was the first Hot Rodder I ever knew with a old Mopar 1/2 ton with a V8 Chevy and drawer pull grill treatment. I used to live one house away from his uncle. The Beaz was there. The Picton Armdrop guys, Lightspeed Metals Mike and even Wuga made a cameo appearance. There was a 30 Dodge coupe for sale. No price and I was afraid to ask (actually I have a hard fast rule. I never buy anything not priced no matter how bad I want it. ) If I was 15 years younger I might have even bent that rule. It would be a prime candidate for a restore and hop up. These cars Dodge which is 100 years old this year BTW came with hydraulic brakes, all steel body, six cylinders and higher compression. Probably wont sleep for a week thinking about it.

Yes Don, loved that Dodge coupe, always thought they made the most aggressive looking hotrods. Perfect car to put that Chev small block you have secreted away in the garden shed.
Good seeing you guys today. See everyone at the Armdrop.
Warren
So far it's been a great show. I have two words for you all, lightening rods....
LOL, I'm glad I stayed home and saved myself a three hour drive there. My 27 year old Kelvinator chest freezer, decided to have an aneurism last night, so I had to go buy a new one this afternoon.
great day, bought some stuff, including a new rear bumper for the truck, great deal, lots to look at,saw a few friends we havn't seen in awhile,my wife (damn she's cool ) saw the Dodge coupe before I did, looked good, but same thing ,I hate no asking price posted, she also liked the 2 dr 57 Buick, btw chris, thanks again for the art, will post a pick tomorrow for all to see.
Awesome time here as usual in Stirling, the show grounds are remarkably dry for the amounts of weather we have had this past week..sold everything I really needed to paid for next years sites already, had a few laughs with many of you and expect tomorrow to be another excellent day Thanks for dropping by Glen, you and Corinne can come to my place any time.. Donny the story this evening around the bandshell with the live music and two bands might I add was rump mourned to be an asking dollar of ten grand, plenty steep by my standards and we like to think we move a lot of iron of this era throughout the year...I will give you this though, it's a neat body style, would make a nice old style rod...

Was a great morning, grabbed a couple of items for my 58.
Saw Chris at his site. The rain held off till about 10:30.
I was also surprised as to how dry the grounds were.
Ended up going to Lindsay for the first time. What a friggin mud pit !! Usual junk that amazes me why people bother dragging this stuf around. I thought Lindsay wasn't going to allow sock vendors, but we did manage to find a couple. Would have been an OK show if the weather wasn't so lousy.

AN SBC would be a step down from the Dodge six I think. BTW I do not have any squirreled away. I have how ever built many for customers.
I do have a poly 318 project now a 333 cube but the coupe is too much gold for me at 10 grand.

I remember mentioning in another thread, "Lindsay is the new Barrie". Mud pit and sock vendors, lol.
