smile  Mine is the white one with the red interior and boot.

Purchased in Detroit Michigan 14 September 1985 and released by new AMC President George Romney

who micromanaged the sale. Nethercutt Collection Steve Marketti said they were not interested in

this car on Wednesday and a copy of the original paperwork is in their museum in Sylmar on

Bledsloe Street. They are a French Car museum without a RENAULT. This car gets 30 MPG

when it is running right when I ran it in 2012 to Southwestern Yacht Club on Qualtrough from

Hemet California and return for the 2012 national Disabled Sailing championships. Yes this car

was at the FORD TENT in the 1986 Detroit Gran Prix( there has to be a picture out there).

Now for the Grocery list being done at ALL FOR SHOW AUDIO 260 North State Street Hemet.

replace lifting rams& hydraulic motor, rebuild MB3 transmission(this week I hope), trunk lifting

kit, power windows and door locks(window regulators do not exist (see District IX US District

Court 1993). I know this is probably one of the three in the United States. Paint will be olympic

white with clear coat with a Caricature "PEPE'" (grandfather in FRENCH) and hand painted pin stripe, I might replace the radio with a new one with a blue tooth, tires of course(same as original R 13), dent on hood from past absent minded mechanic,

customized 1956 Renault Logo on floor mats, color coordinated trunk rug, and new

trunk back wall(from same absent minded mechanic. At age 69, I am mechanically inept

but I know where to scrounge for these rare parts. I have a box of papers and a story board with

two car show trophies for this car. Hopefully, it will be in the San jacinto fourth of July Parade.Old Fahrts Car show 18August w Renault.jpg

My father bought it for my mother when he was the chemical engineer for Prestolite Port Huron Michigan. It was common practice then to disconnect the odometer which is two cables in this car and use it for the commercial and then say it was driven thirty miles to the tent which I know is not possible. My suspicion is the car was test driven to see that the Englia speedometer worked prior to sale. The car has a luggage rack on the rear deck rated at 50 LBS. The exact copy of this appeared with John Candy in Planes Trains and Automobiles with a K car convertible in Faux Wood with the luggage rack and the same type of rear end with the taillights from an Alliance. Truth be known that Chrysler had a better idea and copied this car after the AMC demise. Oh, two years ago I had the speedometer rebuilt at Speedometer Plus in Los Angeles when it was at Doc Werdon's Shop. You may know Doc if you are an old Irwindale Speedway fan, his number is 76 and the tractor trailer, rat rod(yellow), and a purple stocker still live here in Valle Vista off of the 79. Doc was one those who raced when the track went from dirt to asphalt. John Mingus of Lucas oil knows him well.

Yes, the car dose have factory cruise control which was disconnected when the car ran away from my mother and the speedometer was disconnected in 1995. With a mileage reading of 18882 it is anyone's guess as to what the actual mileage is, so I did not reset it and the Tachometer works well. Like Red Fox with the Dodge Colt in the Colt 45 commercial, I drive by the Tachometer on this car like a Queen bus.

Great Blue Herons forage in marine coastal environments and in freshwater habitats, but nest on islands or in wooded swamps, where few mammals or snakes can prey on them. The birds sometimes nest alone, but often do so in colonies consisting of a dozen to several hundred pairs. Scientists do not know precisely how herons choose whether to be sociable. It seems that advantages to colonial behaviour include better defense of nests and greater chance of discovering mobile schools of fish: once one heron finds a good foraging spot, others may follow it to the same location.

Unique characteristics

The Great Blue Heron has an array of displays. Some of them are seen on the foraging grounds, as, for example, when two herons approach each other, each extending its neck fully and tilting its head over its back, with the wings partly opened and the body plumes erect. In others, the herons sleek their plumage, extend their necks forward, and tilt their heads from side to side so that they may look upwards, a posture they often use when predators and herons fly over the foraging grounds. Sometimes, a heron will thrust its beak at an opponent, and during some displays, “bill duels” erupt when opponents try to grab each other’s head.

Another set of displays occurs when a mate returns to the nest. The arriving bird often greets the mate using a particular call, and the bird on the nest responds with one of a number of displays. Sometimes, the male brings sticks to the female on the nest. The female performs a display and takes the sticks, and the male then taps the female’s bill from side to side while she places the sticks in the nest

Great informative post..

Since the engine was not run in a year due to no funding and blockage along with my sister having Lou Gerigh's disease and finally getting to see her grandson in two years, the engine froze up at AAMCO and It will have to be rebuilt. More screaming and yelling from my mother who said AAMCO is taking my money and doing nothing. I am determined to get it done this year even if I will have to have a loan for ten years against my pension.

Thomas Freer wanted $3428 to fix the transmission and froze the motor. He owns AAMCO shop 280 North State Street Hemet California. Thomas wanted his money now or he was taking me to court with the pieces of the car all over the shop. I signed the Title and the paperwork to Juan owner of All for Show 260 North Main Hemet as my mother was yelling about money for Take Shape for Life. So I am forced out due to the credit crunch for $3428 from AAMCO for rebuilding a three speed automatic transmission which I bought a used one also. I have a 2005 Suzuki Forenza Wagon LX which runs fine and this will be my only car for ten years. I know that I will be constantly yelled at for having no money.

WTF????

3400 bucks to rebuild a tranny in Cali? Wow.

If you don't want people yelling at you...................GET A JOB!!!!!!

Then you could afford liver and fried onions and a bottle of wine......no wait, save your money for a rebuilt tranny or maybe a Renault. Everyone loves a good Renault.

Great post Ponch Very informative. I wish I had some Bongos

A black swan figurine lay on all color lily pads.
On a little conglomeration table of pressed black felt.
With same color shadows, in seamed knobbed knees, and what-nots.
The long hallway rolled out into oddball odd.
Beside the fly-pecked black doorway,
That looked closed on the tar-lattice street.
Up a wrought iron fire escape.
Rolled out a tiny wooden platform with dark, hard, dark rubber wheels.
Roll, skreek! Roll, skreek! Roll, skreek!
Sam with the showing scalp flat top,
Particular about the point it made.

Sam was a BASKET CASE!
A hardened dark ivory clip held . . . saleable everyday pencils.
I wish I had a pair 'o bongos!

Time to say goodnight Irene..

Thanks for these enlightening uplifting notes..I have appreciated this information and look forward to my morning each and every day to keep up with the excitement and new challenges of Renault..

I think you should try to get bed a bit earlier as the riff-raff that hang out here could be a bad influence on your ability to get your credit score higher so you could afford to get a burka to fit the Renault..It is my concern that improper installation of the burka could affect the aspiration unless your using mouse wool to protect the helmut from debris that could enter the system through the tpms via the valve so I would probably use a tampon to block entry unless it prelubed ...and badged as a Korenault

Am I the only one that can see where this is going??
Supposedly 69 years old with poor health, has a Sister with Lou Gerigh's, just sold his dream car to pay off a debt, He's now has no money,He's constantly yelled at because he's broke, Now has to drive a 2005 Suzuki that runs fine.
Guess what People, a week from now that Suzuki will throw a rod, and the Skipper here will be asking for financial help to help get him back on his feet. He's playing us !! He thinks he's fishing, and us dumb Canadians will take the bait.
