I'm not much of a Facebook user ....the world of social media isn't my thing ....but there are a lot of special interest groups on there to join , if you wish . I'm into Fords and joined the Ford FE , Ford Y-block and Ford Fairlane sites on Facebook . Whatever your favourite brands , there is probably a site for you , if you didn't already know this .
Ya along with various local political sites, I also joined the tri5 sedan delivery group and a tri5 swapmeet group. Facebook is long past the teenage girls talking about there boyfriends stage,it is now a good source of current information and opinion on pretty much anything you are interested in. Ed
My opinion ..Face book is just another trap where they are sucking up all kinds of information about you every time you are on it..They know what time you go to bed and how many strokes it takes before you roll over and go to sleep...
I have never even been tempted to join any of those stupid social gossip sites...This one is bad enough and dangerous enough for me..we are all pretty carelass about how much of our stuff we put out there in these days of identity theft..

agree and they have no place for "Dislike" whats with all this "like Us " on Facbook ? is it a contest ??????
What I've noticed so far , on the 3 Facebook sites I've mentioned , is that they pretty much stick to the topic ....no " what I had for lunch " or whatever . I'm on the Y-Block and Ford FE internet sites too but there seems to be a lot more discussion on the Facebook part of it , for whatever reason . So far , I like what I see . I'm even thinking of creating my own site , something VERY rare that would attract only a small handful of individuals ........
like " 32 Fords that DON'T have a sbc " .....about as rare as the dinosaur .
no,, i dont do the fb bull but sweety does, she shows me what my neice is eating for breakfast ,bacon#egg# sausage#but I tell her what is a # hashtag bull####

I don't do facebook, but i have gone through 3 great local historical sites on there from my area, great old pics, many of old people i know or knew that have since passed. Pics of they're old homesteads, old cars ,trucks, logging and sawmilling etc. Great stuff for those that appreciate their local history.
Our local dragstrip has a good site with lots of info and pics.
The rest i couln't be bothered with.
Facebook is really a site where you share photographs and videos of who you are and what you like. You control who sees it. It can be very beneficial for business to have facebook pages. It's very trendy and helps create a following. When you like a facebook page, it's like adding to their reputation. Your reputation has to be earned.
This is the general car talk area so I will post a page I recommend you visit, in the lounge

I use it all the time so much so we don't use the phone any more. I have nothing to hide we have a Vintage Camping trailer group Vintage collectable group Rockabilly group Hot Rod group. Any subject you can think of there is a group. Most are down to earth real people. I have not been to a Antique/Collectable show in two years. I find more than I need at prices that are way under the Ebay prices all the time.

With both my daughters on the other side of the country i thought it would be good to set up a face book account to keep tabs on them. When I asked to be a friend with my daughters my youngest one reported me as a stalker and Facebook froze my account . I was pis...d so I tried to cancel my account. It's almost impossible. They keep all your info even if you cancel......damn kids...finally cancelled it.....damn kids...
So far , still impressed with the info available on a daily basis and the lack of small talk ......." I had lunch at Mickey D's ....... I passed gas twice today , etc .........joined the Ford Fairlane group as well as the '53-56 F100 group .
You could really specialize your own group if you chose to .....y'know , the " Green 62 Chevy 4-door with fuzzy dice and angel hair interior " group, if you so wished .......... or you could attract several million enthusiasts with the " Chevy powered Ford " group that is expanding exponentially as we speak . The power of the internet !
