Oh yeah I read about this.

What the rumor is, is that he is now into restoring vintage helicopters, which are much harder/expensive to do.

He's still worth $350 million, before he starts to sell anything.
He probably doesn't need the money.

I'm thinking a number of these guys are looking at the market, and the economy's future and deciding to bail out of some of these collections, hoping to get a decent amount of $ back.
