I took some pics,, at the same photo op as you posted.. many turned out very good! ... then my Son was shaking Johns hand,, and I got the sun in the camera just like you!

Not to take away from John,, but if you waited for Smax to run "Living the Dream"... was it worth it??

The 200mph was in 660ft , could have been better too.. Smax was heard to say,, when he lost one cyl, he back pedaled,,

the run was delayed because the starter drive messed up in the stagging lanes , with help of the Ant Hill Mob, and a few others, they got another starter to fit..

Smax lives down the road from me ,really cool guy, he's building an engine for my Dad's 56 Continental Mk II .

Up here @ :King of the North Dragway, last season Smax ran 231 MPH @ 3.4 seconds if i remember correctly. (Again, 660 Ft.)
The first BIG showdown here is June 27-28-29th with the Hura gang and these guys.
Great bunch of sincere guys doing what they love.
(Smax has had i believe 3 major crashes in his career , all over the 200MPH mark.)

There was a guy at St Thomas on the weekend with a really nice hard cover book from UK on Drag Racing. Really cool leafing thru it to see how the Brits were doing things, Smax is on pg 208 iirc.. lol then UK racing evolved to emulate USA NHRA style racing to some degree... according to the book...

I was just looking at facebook for Leverich racing ,, and saw the line up for last sept. Smax was stoked to have him and his son set records! They are a "Great bunch of sincere guys doing what they love." sasquatch.

Smax autographed the book for the fan! ... really cool! I really didn't see much other than Ant Hill Mob Alky Funny Car on one side.. Leverich top fuel on the other flanked by John Force at the Williams Trailer,, and Rick Kopp, and some others.. Great bunch of sincere guys doing what they love. said it best!!!

 The dragster came apart after this run and the crew thrashed in the pits to get it back together by morning.Then it rained
