I just need to rant a bit.

Well once again.... its 2:00am and I'm out in my shop working on my other "hobby"  building this custom furniture, ect.

Not my 9 t0 5 job

But lt has quickly turned into my 6pm to 2am job. lol

I  do have to finish these things by Sun and I'm about 75% done.

I am grateful I have the shop/and know how and the "extra" $ it provides helps out to pay my hydro bill

But as I stare at my car.....just sitting there.... I begin to think the only thing I'll have time to build will resemble  the last picture.bleh

Age old complaint, I know. Life and commitments get in the way.

I'm going to bed and my best hope is I dream in techno colored hot rod.smile

Tomorrow is another day!!

Rant over. I'm outwink

Those wheels look pretty heavy! What size brake lines did you use on it?

BTW My older brother used to say, "When business interferes with pleasure cut out the business" Foolishly I believed him and retired 17 years ago. Strangely he is still working.

You best get that one picture off the board.. If mancraver spots it, you will get a rant from him on the safety issues that are very plainly in view..biggrin biggrin

Nice looking work on the furniture ..I just burnt a few of those old barn beams from an old drive shed I had torn down several years ago..Sold the barn board except for a few pieces I keep for repairing my barn..but the beams just got to be a pain to always be working around So..

Don't worry bout the car you will get their ..I don't reacall you ever doing a post on your car..does it run , how close to drivable is it , is it ripped all apart, now for a question mark ??? biggrin smile

Dan...no you disappoint me. Didn't you watch the Flintstones??.

Brake lines not a concern.

The way I see it,my choices concerning brakes shakes out like this.

These for "everyday" driving or for those "special occasions" I was thinking more along the lines of the red ones. lol

I cant believe your gonna do me that way Chuck!!! Burning barn beams.....no  Let me know if any of that stuff is getting in your way and I'd be happy to get rid of it for ya.smile

A few pics of it when I found it, and last pic is how it car looks right now   blehbleh  Can you see it buried under wood ????

..... and I hear rumblings/crazy talk about we could really use the room in the shop and blah blah blah or (insert Charlie Browns mother talking here)

I flat out refuse to put it outside! I know once that happens I'll have to fight tooth and nail to clear a spot for it again.

My garage is section off into 2 sides. The larger side is where my 37 and daily driver sleep. The other shop side is where I build.

I just have to remind Art Garage side........ shop side!

When I got the 37 it was 98% complete. flat head 6/ got it running, but its coming out.

The 37 has been somewhat torn apart and I have found a perfect rolling chassis with all the updates/work/wheels already done.

I just have to talk my buddy into parting with it .... and he will for me. Then get it home, make room and have at it.

Disclaimer alert!! Please read!! This next remark is not meant to be retaliatory in any way for burning barn beams Chuck.......

Then its chop/channel slammed dirty rat rod for it! Sorry, I know this will hurt some. But I gotta be me! So suck it upbiggrin

Great furniture Janice! Nice way to re-purpose the old wood so others can enjoy for many more years to come.

Of course you and Joe are rightsmile.

I was just awful tired, but today is another day. And I got 1 of the orders complete and now gone.

Of course I got 2 new ones today, but that's a good thing, I'll take it while I can and put the $ towards the build.

Looking forward to some events this summer as well to meet some more of you ruffians in here..... especially Chuck!  wink

no better place to meet up with a bunch of ruffians than the ELTA Summer Bash. There'll be a bunch of OR's there.
