I'm sure we've all answered this question before a million times and given our reasons why. And so for the umpteenth time, I have been with Lant (Hagherty) since 1988 and my coverage has always been there, my broker has never closed shop and my rates are fantastic considering it took them ten years to recover the cost of replacing the windshield ($1500) in my Cutlass. If any other newbies are reading this, you should try doing a search first. I'm not being ornery, just pragmatic.

Hagarty with the Plus addon. 200km flatbed towing and covers all vehicles in my name. Been with them for a few years now. Though I have no claims to comment on claim process.

I used Lant for years. I had a problem and it was a $700 repair estimate. They said, no, we will send our own man to look at it, $3200 later they were happy.

They are a 100% good company to deal with.

Echelon - amazingly cheap rates - $50k for $370

full coverage - no driving restrictions except taking it to work or box store parking lots

I lost my 72 chevelle last year and no questions asked - full payment within 30 days

What rate are you paying? What coverage and did you have to get an appraisal?

Regular insurance, cost about $1300.00/year.  I have collision and they will depreciate the value from the appraisal date just like driving a new car off the lot. So the agent says. Probably full of it and if something happens, I'll be repairing the truck on my own dime.

They won't do a guaranteed payment ( 19A? ) even with an appraisal.

I'm not too worried about it.  When I get my rod done, I'll have to have a 19A policy.

This might not be the right spot , or post . I was telling some one I would ask about the policy on my 50 chebby truck , has truck plates not historic , listed as a classic , they full well know the mods done to it . mileage limit 5 k,s per yr , agreed value as per appraisal 4750 . about 170 bucks a year thru intact . they called the intact people and I can tow my car trailer " a few times " per yr , but not commercially , not regularily , as in tow my vintage drag or gasser to a show or dragstrip a few times per yr .
can pretty much drive any where any time I want . but next yr I will put it under a basic ins package , with unlimited k,s , drive it when ever where ever I want , like a regular truck , about 1400 bucks a yr they said ..77.
but I also only takes me 12 to 17 minutes to drive to work depending on traffic , so I don,t usually put a lotta miles on my stuff , the old lady works about a 1/4 mile from our house ..77.
