Learned the other day that Speed Channel is no more on Cogeco cable. It is apparently something to do with CRTC and the lack of Canadian content. I guess the Cogeco contract with speed expired on the 15th of July and CRTC said no to renew. What a major Pi-- off that is. Time to go to Dish or Direct TV.
I could be wrong but I don't think it had anything to do with the CRTC. Story I got was Speed wanted to much ($) for the feed and the providers could not sell enough ads to pay for it. Who knows but to be honest I really don't miss it all that much. Too many nonsensical programs. Speed had lost its way a long time ago.
Thing that really bugs me is that there is no refund from the cable companies for a service we paid for but no longer receive. IMO.
fox sport and fox sport 2 are suppose to take over a programming similar or new stuff , i have the fiberoptic and samething happen they don t want to reduce the price back , but i m sure if they work out anydeals with fox they will have a package and eventually charge more to get it , you can t even stream the nascar race only line unless you get and address from the states , sucksssssssssssss as far as bell dish i still got one on the house and i planning to write BELL SUCKS ON IT lolllllllllllllllllll
not worth the spot for what they wanted for the channel + the owner's are / were trying to let it die with reruns of pinks from years ago along with other junk

I miss spike , but only for the "power block" ... and Courtney of course , I could listen to her gravel-ie voice all day and not get tired of her yacking on and on lol
I've been itching to get my hands on a set of trick flow 460 heads since I saw the horsepower segment on their 460 build ..got the TF intake and a new 870 vac sec carb for it though ...
I couldn't care less about speed but I wish I still got powerblock on spike (the star wars rerun channel part I could do without)

Power Block Sunday 9:00am ch279 rogers. I watch it on line along with roadkill and rot rod mag show. Don't watch any scripted "reality" car shows way under my pay grade.
Lost it here a long time ago. Why I bother keeping any TV I have no idea. Man moment machine is five episodes run 1000 times. Crtc thing is just an excuse I think. I got the same gobblygook when they cut my DW tv. If my wife didn't enjoy a few shows like Jepordy and Wheel I would just cancel and forget it. How is it as we supposedly get more advanced and hi-tech we get less and less of everything. When I am King things will be different! don
