What is the difference between the two cars other than the Impala grill?
Both are 350 CI LT1

Plenty. 9c1 had bigger stronger diff. Mine has 3:31 posi 4 wheel disc
Alum drive shaft. Upgraded heavy duty 460le trans with Bette servo
And my Lt1 is same as Bette minus alum heads. But it's a roller motor.
Mine was 260 go before mods my car has.
I think the stock 350 was 220. I'll have to check to be sure
My car came with all heavy duty suspension trans and oil coolers
The 9C1 was actually a stronger built car than the famous Impala SS
This can pretty much all be verified in 2 min google search
I'm thinking mine is close to 300hp with mods I done.
It ran a 14.9 with bald tires last year a full tank a gas and was only run for a laugh.
For 4000+ lbs. it works just fine.

aside from the obvious difference mine is lowered with custom interior buckets console and mods to me the only thing these share in common is the body

winkHmm interesting car but at current gas prices the only way it would be  fesible is have no job or be retired and let it sit in the laneway.

Next question...was the 9C1 a cop car?
I have a '94 Caprice wagon with the LT1 and get great gas mileage.
Not a posi either.

I average 800-825 km per tank highway. Comfy over 500-550
City. Spoke to a fellow today who had a 305 caprice. Said it was a slug and got 300-350 km to a tank.
All smiles per gallon.
I had 4 brain surgeries so I have NO JOB and it does sit in the garage 90% or more.
Drove mine 3x this year.
Wife and are are downsizing to probably 1 car. I don't go out much anymore. And if I do I drive hers.
But I never bought it because I cared about fuel mileage.
It's been a good car to me. No tow truck req'd yet. ;)

my error there Carl, I was wrong...I miss read it. My glasses were not on...

Here is some VIN info
