I have a friend near Hamilton that wants to buy some Chev truck parts from LMC.

Is there a dealer anywhere near? If not, can parts be shipped to a company in NY

where an Ontario company goes over and picks them up.

He has had the UPS experience.

Thank you

if he wants, over in Niagara Falls, NY

USAddress.com , on Witmer Rd. they will receive any package, any size. $5.00 per package. you just go online and open an account. been using them for a few years now. Always declare the parts as you cross the border, nine out of ten times, they let you by, if not, you just pay gst....... still a great deal. most companies will pay the shipping too.

Even if an Ontario company picks them up you're into the hole brokerage thing and paperwork Only way around it is to pick it up yourself . Even if a friend picks the stuff up be sure if ask that the correct answer is the parts belong to him. depends on what he is after . On some stuff Antique chevrolet on hwy 5  is comparable. Rock auto and a few others have got ups towing the line lately on shipping . no matter what way you look at it even from Hamilton you are looking at 4hrs of your time and 30 or so bucks in gas to pick it up .

It Is hard to justify the trip for 1 package most times, but if you can arrange several shipments, it pays for itself. I just picked up 11 pieces in Port Huron and saved over $2000 in shipping charges and Lord knows how much in brokerage. Many US companies have free shipping in the lower 48, but shipping to Canada could be $200 so I could waste an afternoon and a few liters of gas to do some cross border shopping, especially from the Hamilton area.

FREE Brokerage on Hot Rod Parts Shipped Into Canada, *** Candy's Hot Rod Supply ***

Free brokerage on hot rod parts shipped into Canada, for orders exceeding $800 American (before exchange) for any "member" here on the board, when ordered from "Candy's Hot Rod Supply".   Parts may be viewed online at "Speedway Motors", free brokerage does NOT apply when only ordering MSD Ignition Systems.  Shipping is very inexpensive, shipped direclty to your door step from the warehouse, exchange is almost at parr !

"Candy's Hot Rod Supply" will take care of your brokerage and you will know the total cost of your order sitting on your door step, before you pay !

Brokerage on orders under $800.00 is only $35.00 with NO other associated fee's other than your exchange, shipping and taxes.  You will NOT receive an invoice, from any shipping company, after your shipment has been delieverd to your address.

Numerous other parts are availabe, however; you may have to pick the parts up at our shop, to avoid additional shipping charges.

Send me an email at :  neilcandy@xplornet.ca or call the shop at (613) 353-7572.

Currently we are booking 2 years out for builds, as our shop is very busy for the next two years.

Thanks for the read, Neil.....

California Carsmetics in London is an LMC dealer and has similar prices and no shipping or brokerage.....for those in the London area anyway. Of course Bill's Truck is closer to Hamilton for you.

Lots of good information here.
Thanks again.
London is just over an hour from Hamilton.
Is Courtice the other side of Oshawa?

Why not get in contact with LMC and either ask for their closest dealer to you or maybe they've got them listed on a website. You might be pleasently surprised by a location right in your neck of the woods!
