I talked for a while with this guy who built an aluminum blocked flathead,he has one in his 32 and has been doing everything possible to blow it up or find a weak spot so far 25000 miles with 10 lbs boost from the blower and not a single problem. Street Rodder magazine is doing an article on it in the fall. He has done away with the trouble spots e.g. water pumps that cavitate, hot spot in the block from poor cerculation, motor mount part of the water pump etc.The bore and stroke work out to 327 ci and a normal aspirated model has close to 300 horse and 360 ft pounds torque. He has installed larger valves and modern springs a roller cam and lifters. The only problem I could see besides not owning one was the price!!!! complete drop in top to bottom with blower is 18 grand

thats a fair bit of money on a more or less experimental engine. if it was a proven engine and some warranty of sorts thats probably not a bad price for an exotic build. my dart engine would be almost twice that if i didn't know someone who knew someone sort of thingy. interesting.
