I want to hide this in my Chevy II. Can anyone tell me what wire is what and how to disable the security system? I believe it's a 1997 unit.SAM_7238.JPGSAM_7237.JPGSAM_7239.JPG

If you know exactly what it came out of, I'm sure the schematics will be easy to find on the net. I have in the past done this with other head units.
Any info on the other tag on the top? Any numbers stamped on the bottom?

Factory units as far as I know, the security system can not be disabled.
You might have to take it to GM (I assume it's from a GM) Looks like one that was in an older Sierra I owned.

A harness is available for these , I called MASS Electronics. thanks for the input guys. smile

If you do get stuck with any problems, than the best guy around is Greg Fox (Foxes Auto Sound) in Dorchester.
Him and his crew are first class.
