Well, unfortunately old man winter is fast approaching. That said I typically drive the "Strato-Chief" until Halloween time or sometimes weather permitting the first week Of November or so...then it's time to put to "Bed" in storage for the long winter and wait till April to get er out. I don't about the rest of you but I do not have the luxury or a real garage so off to a nice little spot out of town that is heated and they don't cram em in too rest for winter. The rest of the season the old girl resides in my "Famous Tent Garage"...I will post some pics in the near future..the bummer is not be able to work on it when the snow is flying outside...oh well
Meanwhile enjoy all the cruisin you can until it's time...grrrr...I know I am
We have one more race weekend to go up here, then come the "withdrawls" for everyone. Lol
Lots of stuff going on over the winter , engines being rebuilt/freshened up, 2 new Altereds will be completed, one Chev stroker, one Ford stroker.
Yea . I lost two free storage spaces this yr . so I hadda arrange for spaces this yr . One car is in storage all ready , the 50 an the Nasty Girl will be there at end of this month . Then The Little Gremlin will spend the winter in The One Holer , getting a heart transplant and some up grades on rear suspension .
but there,s all ways u tube , lotsa car stuff on there to watch , bikes boats , vintage drag trans am races u name it ..77.

Darn thats a nice shop, sometmes you just have to pull the trigger and do it. Lots of work doing it solo good for you.
On the season ,yup its coming to a end but we may still have some good cruising left . October could be nice cross our fingers....
The weekend looks good with two events, Pontiac (Saturday) day at my local track probably the last rip down the quarter for me.
Theres a show in Wood stock on Sunday that was cancelled yesterday and then to CT for the last get together.
Winter brings some more car mods and theres is the honey do list for the house.....

Agree real nice setup!! No walking outside to another building in winter.
looking at the gable end of the garage is that scissor trusses you used? (And 2x4 stud walls in the garage?)
Nice property like those white pines.
thanks fellas. yes those are scissor trusses, i used them to gain another 30 inches or so for when the 4 post lift goes in. the walls are 2x6 studs and are 12 ft 6 in high. i had a pretty good vision of what i wanted and drew my own plans. i wired the place myself so i could end up with power where i needed it - there are 9 outdoor outlets , 20 amp on a ground fault breaker lol. even though it's a ton of work it's nice to have things how you want them and not have to settle for what a contractor gives you.

Your'e going to really enjoy that shop when you start building benches etc when the weather turns cold, and you can work inside.
Are you going to have heat in the garage?
once i get the house finished i can start to concentrate on the shop, which for me will be the really fun part lol !!! right now i'm sort of leaning towards a pellet stove for heat. my thought is that further down the road i could put in a big maxx and move the pellet stove to the basement. unfortunatly there's so much else to be done before that but at least for now i have good storage for the cars.
