Found 50's Ford & Merc heaven today

I was vending at Rocton yesterday and met a fellow Ford guy, he invited me over to possible purchase a few cars and some parts.

Well , my mind was blown by this hoard of cars and parts

i think he said the barn was about 32 x120 and you couldn't move in there

half the barn had a second level as well that was packed with parts

Sorry but I'm not going to post his name and location, I'm not sure how much of it he's willing to sell, just though I'd share some pics

I saw one of those 2 door Lincoln's on Friday. It looked good,,was sitting outside just waiting for mother nature to finish it off..

The "Lincoln's" were why I was invited over, I've been building a 56 Continental Mark II with my Dad for the last 6 months, but we made Dad's a convertible because the factory never officially made one

Technically they are not Lincoln's , they are Continental's

Ford formed a separate "Continental" division just for these cars

here's a pic of Dad's, it should be painted in the next week or so

i should start a build thread , it just doesn't really fit in here on this site

but it's been a full frame off restoration and custom convertible conversion

If it's for sale , we'd be interested in it for parts

I can't understand why any car/mechanical/ restore/ from tractors to boats and or planes would not be of interest to many .. hell if uses fuel and moves.. it is of interest to me, may not be my passion but It would still be of interest to any real car guy or Gearhead..so post away..

Thanks guys, I guess I kind of highjacked my own thread
I'll start a build thread in the proper section

The fellow that owns the cars and parts We went and saw has an amazing collection and the cars he's building were awesome
Believe it or not, he knows what every part in there fits and has cataloged a lot of it
There are more than 60 cars in various buildings and some outside

The owner realizes he will never build all these cars and is willing to part with a few that he is less interested in building
He knows the values of everything in there and wants top dollar
We did make an offer to buy the 3 Mark II's he has and if you notice in the very first pic I posted, there is a white convertible top, that's a 57 Lincoln Premier vert that Dad made an offer on as well but we're a bit too far apart on the prices
He wants to possibly trade some cars for my Dad's 2004 T-bird
So we make be able to make a deal on some cars yet
Even if we don't make a deal on anything, it was a great afternoon spent with a great car guy, the tour of everything was amazing and he was a hell of a nice guy.
His metal work on the cars under construction was superb, a very talented guy
