Inspiring Automotive event for kids

Hey guys

A week from Friday,on October 10th we will be launching into our second year of "My Prom Is" an event to share our love of automobiles with special kids with unique challenges.

We'll be meeting in Bowmanville at the Home Depot on Hwy #2 at 9am and then heading over to CCSS high school for a 9:30 start time.  Its only until 11 or so and maybe we can do lunch afterwards for anyone interested

My own personal experience of the events that have taken place so far:

I had forgotten how much I loved the hobby and had taken for granted where its taken me.  What started off as an interest has helped me develop mechanical skills that have served me my whole life in a career and in my home ownership.  I've also developed many lifelong friendships because of the club that I started and the events that I attended.

What has been created is that we've been able to plant that spark in many of the kids who participated. Teachers have seen new ways to relate to the kids, students have broken out of their shells and car owners have seen their vehicles in a different way.

I invite everyone interested to come out and be part of this amazing experience. Its a great activity and a great bunch of kids

You can go to 10 car shows any weekend day in Ontario from May to September.

Is nobody interested in participating in this event?
