Yes some more sad news from the Ontario racing scene. Lennox was a very talented and successful racer over a number of decades. First saw him race at the CNE in the 50's. Many times at Oswego.
Remember him well, he was our west London neighbourhood hero along with Max Bear and Fred Cameron and Tammy 10. watched those guys race Tammy 10 from when I was 6yrs old in 1960 until the last time 1969. Coming out of turn 2 at Delaware Harvey would pull the front wheels up in the air, an incredible thrill for an infant motorhead. Thanks Harvey for a life time addiction to speed.
RIP Harv. We worked together at Hanover Transport in London back in the 60s. Taught me the tricks of driving a tractor trailer . Great guy and long time friend.
Saw him at CNE in Toronto in 1963 .....big championship race . My dad ( and by extension me ) was cheering for Jimmy Howard in the 38 and his team mate Gary Witter in the 19. Those two led for much of the race but Lennox got by and ,I think , won the race . I'm not sure because shortly after the Tammy 10 got the lead , my dad turned to me and said " let's go " ........he was pissed .
