1974 Pontiac Ventura 2 door coupe with trunk (not hatchback). 350 Pontiac Engine, Auto/Trans with console and Floor shift. bucket seats.  Last licensed 1983. engine not seized, but not started. 4 wheel manual drum brakes, manual steering. Have ownership. Sat in garage for at least 16 years. Odometer indicates 43,xxx miles. NOT perfect but easily rebuildable. Comes with Shaker air cleaner, like a 1974 GTO.

No trades, Cash Only $1500. Will sell air cleaner for $1500, then you get a free car.

^^^^ What he said. Considering Flatblack has a similar car for sale. There's not a whole bunch of them driving around.

Gwillyville Kid, was the the GTO simply a model up from this car? I know they look identical in some aspects. Did you manage to just find the hood scoop or did it come with this car?

Good luck with your sale. Sorry for the abuse you had to take.

In 1974 ONLY the GTO used the X (Nova) body. GTO came with 350 PONTIAC engine, front and rear sway bars, shaker hood (like a Trans Am) and the GTO stripe and emblems, but that was only tape not metal GTO emblems. This car was $195 short of being a GTO. It has bucket seats, console and floor shift, 350 PONTIAC engine, wooden steering wheel, 3 of 4 PMD steel rally wheels and a compact spare tire with inflator container . The previous (original) owner acquired a shaker hood assembly, but it has a Ventura hood, not a GTO hood. We know the fix for that. I have looked up some of the parts required to restore this car and many are available at Summit, plus some other leads I got. IF anyone is entertaining thoughts, please let's do this BEFORE snow.
Thanks for asking.
The 1974 GTO, with 2.76 gears ran less than .5 seconds slower than the 1964 GTO.

A ZZ TOP salute to those that had the kind words.
