So I want to go to this show as well in March

Anyone know anything about it, and the people who are going to be running it?

I have heard horror stories about the previous show and the promotors

Following is the link to the "NEW" show. I am sure it will answer all your questions.

As for the horror stories you have heard about last years show - they are all true.

The good thing is this is a new show with both new and experienced people involved. It will be done right.

I will definitely be there to support their first show.

Ken, Darren Graham can give you a lot of insight in to this event too, he's involved with the folks there!

So who else is going? Will's been trying to talk me into it but it's a long haul from Windsor with no heat in March. Hate trailers!

Mailed my application today.  Saving you a spot Mike.  Going to be a bigger and better show.

Thanks to everyone for all of your nice comments and for your support!

Since we secured the rights to put on the mid-March show at the International Centre, we've had a great reaction at all of the car shows, cruise nights and events we've been at.

The custom car / hot rod people are glad that there is going to be a show. And the racing people are happy to be part of a bigger show. For those who don't know, we've put on a racing show called the Canadian Motorsports Expo for the past 8 years at the same venue, and the CME will be a component of the full Motorama show. Our core business is publishing (Inside Track Motorsport News, Inside Motorcycles, MX AND OFF-ROAD).

Our most recent outing was to SEMA with Gary Challice, who is in charge of car approvals and helping with showcar content. Gary was a key part of the Performance World show in its heyday and it's easy to see why everyone holds him in such high regard. Everyone loves Gary, including us!!

Gary is lining up a lot of amazing machines. We're also working to secure some interesting celebrities. We have a line on a few, but if anyone here has a suggestion, please feel free to chime in or send me an email at greg 'at' motoramashow.com ... or call us at (416) 962-7223. We're going to do a bunch of panel discussions and Q&As on the stage at Motorama (as we've always done at the CME), so let us know what you'd like to see or what you might find interesting, in the way of topics.

If anyone wants to receive regular updates about the show, you can sign up for the free e-newsletter (at www.MotoramaShow.com). The Exhibitor Info tab on the website has a lot of info, too.

We're currently in the process of filling the floorplan, so if you would like to have a booth, contact us right away. If you had a spot at the former show and would like the same space, you need to contact us as we are not in contact with the previous promoter and don't have any records/contact info regarding renewals.

Thanks again to everyone for all of your nice comments and support! We're very excited about working with Gary and the community to make the show something we all enjoy.

Greg MacPherson
Motorama / Inside Track Communications.

My application went in, and I received a call from Gary last night. Sent some pictures in this morning. It sounds like a good group with a good attitude, and I'm sure they'll bring it back to be even better than it ever was.

Thanks for your posting Greg. It pretty well says it all. The CME exhibitors (race car people) and the Motorama (custom & hot rod car people) ALL under one roof, at the same time will have something for every one.

As for celebrities, I enjoyed last years guests -- Richard Petty, Ryan Newman, Angie & Mike Skinner. They were all very personable and they sure had some stories to tell. The chance to be up close and personal was a big plus for many people.

The panel discussions were interesting and with the custom and hot rod cars being added this year I am sure there are designers, builders, painters, manufactures etc. who would be able to provide some very interesting conversation.
Hopefully some of our members will come up with some name suggestions.

Again Greg, Thanks for your posting and please keep us up to date.

Good morning guys and thank you for the feedback!
I traded PMs with Harry and he said it's OK to post info about the show, so I'll make a note to do that.
We're working on some press releases now.
Thanks to the guys who have submitted applications.
Gary receives everything as it comes in and will reply.
Have a good day.
Greg.
