Sorry fellows I'm trying the resizing but its not working for me, the big photos look good, I hope they aren't screwing anything up on your end?

Thanks everyone, I will try and remember to keep posting as I go, I'm not generally very good at thinking about posting, but it sure is a user friendly site for posting pictures.

Beautiful     when I grow up.... I'm "getting a truck" like that.......  buying not building    My patience level is that of a 4 year old

Thanks 427CARL

I wish I didn't feel the need to build everything my way! I could have been driving a truck similar to this 2 years ago, but instead I will spend twice as much for the possibility to make it as good as any 20k truck out there at 2-3 times the cost!

I didn't say I was smart or even a quick learner. but I do have to much pride to give up on an idea. I think I like the thrill of the build as much or more than the waxing and driving in the end.

I hear ya V2, been there -done that many times. SO for my truck,I went to ebay and bought one as close to the way I would build it myself.I was lucky and it worked out ok. I flew to Kansas and drove it home. Its a whole different kind of thrill buying something already running and just driving it. Gives me time to thrash on my other stuff. Anyway, keep up the good work, nice build!

That would be a cool ride home!

In the end I will be happy, and I'm having a ball learning and building, I wouldn't do it twice, but it would be great to help someone else spend their money, even if you find a ok truck that most of the right stuff has been done and it drives, you could pull it apart every winter, the way I went is sheet metal only and scratch built most all other parts, which means I have an idea, but you can't drive an idea for at least 4-5 years, and I don't really know anyone else building a project like this, so I learn as I go and make plenty of  costly mistakes.

Thank you Nickeleye yours looks great as well, this is my first build and I'm 2 years in, I hope to complete it in 5years, mostly due to cash and lack of knowledge, but I'm having a blast just the same.

It looks good to me Nickeleye, besides your the only one that needs to be happy with it, and they are easy enough to take apart to keep working or improving on, I have always loved the look of the 53-56 Fords, I unfortunately have no pictures but I know my dad had a 56 F-600 it was his delivery truck and I remember being in it when I was real young I think possibly 3 or 4 years of age, he didn't have it much past that point. I will post more pictures as I go, I should have posted it from the beginning, I may do that still if there is an interest?

Hey Angelo, either you're selling yourself short OR you're a quick learner! That's some nice work there man. That thing is beautiful and CLEAN! Lots of pride and patience there. I can kinda see why you say another 2-3 years to finish. That's a lot of pics in your photobucket, and I enjoyed each one! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words Nino, I really am a nub with cars, I built a couple of bikes that was my life long passion until recently, getting older sucks. The reason for the long haul to completion is both inexperience and of course the all mighty $$$$$ this has gone out of control, but its fun and to late to turn around now!

By the way your car is kool as well I wanted to build something similar before I got the truck.

Thanks, and I hear ya on the getting older part! Sometimes I stop and realize, s#%t I better get this thing done before I'm too old to enjoy it (let alone get in and out of it)! I'll take any kind of motivation! It looks like you're committed, there's no turning back now! BTW that's a nice looking shop there, clean and bright.

Thanks, I purchased this place 3 years ago to be able to build my motorcycles and then this truck, after this is complete I will put in a lift and just maintain the toys, I love your car man!

I see your from Thornhill! I grew up in Richmond Hill during the 60's 70's when it was still good and small

Ya me too, I went to Jefferson Public school for grades 3 and 4 late 70's. Urban sprawl is crazy.

Yonge and Gamble Side Rd?

I grew up in the South Taylor Mills/Newkirk area, tore up the land on my dirt bikes, we used to ride behind Jefferson and also buy and wreck old cars in behind there. I think it was Jefferson?
