Trying to find out what size this Holly is on my Avanti  Has # 8055-1 & just below that 1040 this is on the frt. of the ait horn where Holly says the ID # is. Can't find this # listed anywhere??? Carb is almost brand new but think it's too Big in CFM's  ???   Pete

I Googled the number and there was a e Bay listing of one for sale. The listing said it was a 600 CFM Marine unit. Just repeating ??????

On the front of the choke horn, is a number with the word "list" in front of it...That is how they usually tell what carb it is. ....Post a picture of it too, that may help a lot. Here is a PDF that may help

Its a nice little 650 Holley     perfect for the street     I had one on my 427 (468) and it rocked and got fuel mileage

did you change the advance curve and advance the timing pete ? that really wakes up the motor if it's behaving like it's got too much carb.

It runs strong, think maybe it's out of adj. on mixture & choke could be wrong too/ lots of "black" carbon on the floor on cold start up!!! As for mileage, Not Good!!! but think the gears are a "little stiff" out back, turns mid 3's @ 70 mph I'm used to hwy. gears in the Old 64 Catalina 2200 @ 60mph & the 52 turns 1600 w/ the 5spd & 3:42's Just have to get used to the difference or change the gear set in the Dana??? Thanks again I see it listed there, I just didn't scroll down at all after hitting bottom . No R or "list" there just the # & 1040
