I came out of retirement (so to speak) to lend a hand with Cat in the hats newest project. It is entered into the Detroit show already. We were doing body work the last couple weekends.
As the last picture shows.......The Cat is quite puzzled and confused about which brakes to use. He seemed a little stressed about the subject when I asked him about what he was going to run......He mumbled something about ditching the Wilwoods for a duster set up????? I don't know what he was talking about....must have been the paint fumes or something...............

Say get him to send a P.M to ..oozaG..I believe he could be of help , I have heard he is pretty up to speed on brake stuff on gassers..He might be willing to offer some advice..I could suggest a fairly large stick on a good sized fulcrum with a piece of biased ply firestone tire nailed to the bottom and if installed at precisely the right length and angle it could work as long as he is tall enough to be able to reach down and change the foot shoe while in motion..he made need one on each side of the wheel..probably a good idea to carry a boat anchor for an emergency brake ..Tell him not to sweat the small stuff...he could use his skirt as a drag shute also as long he is careful not to get his _alls caught in the process..
I'm using a kugel 90* setup, mounted under dash set up. With a 7" diaphragm booster and a 1.00" bore master cylinder, on my '38 Dodge project. At the wheels, so far...the front are 11" rotors (GM), mounted on Horton's caliper brackets, with Corvette calipers, the rear, I've not decide yet. I might just stick with the drums that are on the 9" Ford, as most disc brake conversion with widen my track, and I'm already tight. And I'm not so concerned about stopping, because it won't be fast, no small block Chevy's for me.
^^^ the booster and lines are away from the heat (expansion), so I'm not concerned (like I was in the first place).
It also helps keep the firewall clean. Hard to teach old Cats new tricks.
But If "The Cat" really would like something like the 340 Duster's set up, with a Kelsey Hayes 4 piston caliper set up.
Kelsey Hayes made a 4 piston caliper disc brake set up for Mustang GT's, Boss and Shelby's, that'll fit a lot better, and keep it period correct.
Seems to me like he has other issues...besides brakes. He simply just doesn't know when to stop.
The body work looks great by the way.
Hope this helps...
Edit: I wouldn't be too concerned about paint fumes effect, unless he suddenly develops a twitch.

There's a Comet sitting at the side of the road out here, at the end of someone's driveway. Been there for a few years now. It's in nice shape, just sitting there going bad.
it just occurred to me - there is one heck of a pile of work to do on this with only one hundred or so days to go
either you are very young or retired to have that kind of time and effort at your disposal
whats going in it for a motor/tranny/interior?
what color(s)?
Again..this is The Cats project so I can't speak for him. I do know he has a dyno'd 400hp engine with fender well headers and auto trans. I believe it is a stock interior but with the "gasser" theme with no back seat(I'm guessing) paint will be completely crazy in true 60"s style . Glen is not retired and (sorry Glen) but not really young, although young at heart and spirit.
And that's all I'll say about that.

wow - unveiled at Xmas - so less than 30 days to completion - that is seriously motivated and a whole lot more energy than I can seem to find these days... smiles
I'm digging it Glenn......from what I saw at your Xmas Party, it's going to rock in Detroit......full steam ahead brother, we all know your a mad man for getting stuff built...lol.....see you soon!
I remember an offer of....."2 hands and I take direction well".....lol
"2 hands and I take direction well" sounds like my old pick line at the bars....lol..... but hey brother you bet I can drop by to lend a hand and I know Wayner said he's in and the "VP of Speed" Mike Roi is signing up for a co-op day at your Hot Rod Shop......we be honoured. See you soon.
I would offer to help - but you are 3 hours away, and my own project needs that same thrash and I was just informed that my door mirror is back ordered lol ( I can use the old one but hope not to)
I wonder how much different a 66 Chevy II sedan headliner is?? I have one in stock. Just happens to be white(ish) not sure the exact name of it. LOL It had bows but the separation between maybe a lot different. Just throwing it out there. Maybe someone knows the answer. Probably wouldn't work. It'd be like putting a Chevy motor into a Ford! LOL

If you need his number! 705-294-2277. Good number to keep if your looking for Ford stuff. Ordered the wiring for my 57 from Dave and in stalk I picked up a clip for my speedo gear.
