Following is a note from Steve Plunkett about what he has planned for next years Car Show.  It is one of the very best Canadian out door car shows you will ever attend.

Hope to see you there.

John

Hi folks, just wanted to give you an update on what's in store for the Fleetwood show. We'll be on international TV again with the filming of My Classic Car hosted by Dennis Guage. Our wonderful friends George Barris and Gene Winfield return once again. This year were featuring 100 years of Dodge products and who better than the actual Dukes of Hazard stars Tom Wopat & John Schnider will join us with a TV show exhibit. I'm now making inquiries on some of the other stars as well. With this country theme makes the return of the famous square dancing tractors ( team farmall) . The vintage jets will be flying overhead as well .
Mark your calendars for this one as it should be a huge draw and a great means for charity fundraising !
Merry Christmas to everyone and stay safe.

Steve Plunkett

I got my email same time you did.
I think it's pretty cool. The Dukes has a pretty large fan base.
I was at the Cooters museum in Nashville recently and I was amazed how much stuff they had in their prime TV space.
Mr Moustache Dennis too.
Looks like it's going to be another great show!

My wife and I and a few friends are planning to go to Steve Plunkett's show in June.

Can somebody from London please advise me on a good motel/hotel place stay that's not far from the show and has restaurants near by.
I've heard there's very long lines trying to get into the show?

Thanks
Gary

Call Steve. There are some hotels with preferred rates. He may even let you bring the car the day before if you are coming from far away. Drop the car and come back. There is onsite security 24/7. No need to worry. You will what I mean. We at usually inline 6-6:30 am. Sometimes sooner.

there are lots of places to eat at Wonderland rd. and southdale rd. which is only a short drive
there is also a couple on glendon drive just west of Plunketts about 4-5 minutes away in Kilworth& Komoka not classy but decent.
the stoneridge inn (above) has a rest. and it is fairly close. It's also a nice place to stay, right on the 401 so it's easy to find

I know what you are talking about. I only live  4 or 5 minutes away and I don't go that often. It's just so difficult getting in it takes away from the show.

What is the story on the red hardtop you are showing us ONE picture of??

Hell, this show alone was worth the move to Ontario. 100 years of Dodge huh? Jeeze. guess I better get under my 1949 and get working.. would be a shame to miss it.

We're going to drive down from Ottawa but having never been there before a little help is needed.  We'll find a hotel close by and drive in Saturday morning.  What time should we arrive?

If you want to park in the main fields, go early ,be lined up before the gates open or talk to Steve and tell him you're coming from Ottawa and he'll let you park the night before

if you don't care about parking in the main area, there is an overflow show field and it's just that ,a field, a little rough but does the job unless it's been raining ,then it's a mud hole

with them letting in all the newer Mopars, I expect there will be a few hundred new challengers and chargers there

it's a good idea to be in the line up by about 7AM or earlier.

I live about 5 minutes away and I'm going to try to leave by 6-6:30.
A few years ago I was in the back 40 that wolfman spoke of. I left and went home within an hour.
The stoneridge inn is about the closest that is easy to find and nice.

Get there early-or you will be waiting in line watching cars overheat-They need to address this problem-get the police to close off the roads for 2 way traffic and have 1 way-get everyone in quicker-we were running late as spectators last year got there around 8 am and took us 45 minutes to move 1 mile to park across the street-great show-well worth the trip!!!
Keep On Cruising!!!
