Paid a small visit to the engine builder. Took a picture of how its coming, nothing bolted on but the inside stroker kit is complete. Carbs are just for show mine wont be in till next week. I wanted the older look so the aluminum heads were prepped and painted. I had the Headers redone from the white. As much as I loved the white....not recommended for ME! That's it for now! HRD! PS Thanks to my wife for allowing me her office floor to display the headers!

Sweet! I'll be running the same tunnel ram on my 429 using the little twin 450s - no stroker though.
A couple of questions on the headers: I was planning on buying a set of BBC headers for a 55-57 Chev from Patriot and swapping the flanges to the BBF. Is that what you did?
Of course I would need them coated after modifying and was curious about the cost. The difference from bare to coated is roughly $150.00 when buying from Summit, so I was thinking of buying them coated and just touching up the modified flanges - not ideal, but I is poor!
So I guess I'm asking how much more would it be to buy them bare, modify them and have them recoated? I can modify them myself, just looking for coating quoting. Thanks and once again, congrats on the cover shot and feature!

I bought the kit from Horton's, it comes complete with the flanges, straight and bent piping and my fabricator cut, and welded it all together. As far as the coating, it cost me $500 to have them redone from "Afterburner Coatings" in Bradford.
