I've been the photographer/announcer/historian at Cayuga for many years and have acquired an extensive collection of images from the early years of drag racing in Southern Ontario.
I've already posted most of these on other sites so some of you may have already seen them but I thought enough hadn't to make it worthwhile.

Bill Denny has followed the lead of Scott Wilson and taken his racing to the Supermodified world. Was racing a Joe Grunda built Super but I think he was looking for a new chassis. He is racing the car with a wing with the traveling ISMA and MSA shows. Great guy.
Some great photos here, thanks so much for sharing.
I don't know the gentleman but I do know of one other SCrambler being restored in the Welland area.
If anyone knows of a 66-69 Rambler American parts car I would be most interested.....no aftermarket for the orphans.
Rob Potter
roy races with O.N.D.R. - a yellow 65 chevelle and formerly the stude that i have. he has a very decent 69 rambler parts car and other odds and ends, i'll ask him if he has anything he wants to sell if you like rob.

Good morning Rob. I figured if anyone would know it likely would be you. We were at my sister and brother-in-law's last night, as it usually does, the conversation turned to racing. They had been to a Mopar show this past summer and snapped these pics. My brother-in-law said the fella with the B altered was a really congenial guy but they forgot his name. Anyone know the lad?
I know his first name is Dennis and he LOVES to show the car. He gets some cool flames out of the headers and there's an iconic shot from the E.L.T.A. bash showing a young lad roasting a marshmellow on a stick.....too cool.

Thanks Rob. I'm glad to see Jim Lindsay made it into the pics. The Pepper Mill is the reason I own a Falcon today. Very nice guy.

This is Dennis Wilson with Jack Waters drag car. Dennis is a ELTA member and will have the car in Detroit this March for Autorama in the ELTA Display. Dennis a great ambassador of drag racing. The picture we staged at the ELTA Party with Jim Hartman's grandson roasting marshmellows is a keeper for sure. In the first picture is our own ssphoto1...Rob Potter holding the camera as usual. The second picture was taken by Kenny Krocker of Lug Nuts Magazine outside the ELTA Club Shop.

Thanks Elvis, I appreciate your help. Wilson.........wasn't there a Scott Wilson that ran a Fueler powered by a Ford Cammer from London area, seems to me they had a Dairy?.......actually, I think I saw a pic in the first batch. Is that it?

That picture of the Karbelt Fiat 'Percy Also' has me wanting to ask a question. That looks like around 64-66 and that is when I raced against them in 'The Village Idiot'. I was wondering if anywhere in your archives, you have a picture of my car, an orange 28 Tudor, sbc, 2x4s, kinda low buck?

Dennis Wilson lives south of St.Thomas, on Fairview Rd., just south of Sparta Line , and no relation to Scott, as far as I know.

Your Rambler scrambler is still running the AMC 390 with 4 gear . What would be the chance you have pictures of the York Auto sales Rambler Scrambler running in the summer of 1969 when Lanny Cooper and Don Sneed ran it from the dealership in Burlington ? John.
Here's an old picture that I just found. It's "Zorro11" owned by the Tecumseh Pushrods and normally Olds powered but on occasion they7 would pull the Olds and drop in a big Packard Patrician dual quad motor. Pretty quick for the day and a big improvement over Zorro 1. s110.photobucket.com/user/47convert/media/cid_35C3CCF7-4457-42B5-93D9-7D184C0C3777_zpsi87atiik.jpg.html">i110.photobucket.com/albums/n88/47convert/cid_35C3CCF7-4457-42B5-93D9-7D184C0C3777_zpsi87atiik.jpg">

Now there is a car I have not seen in a long long time. I believe Bruce Gowland passed away last year (sorry Bruce if I got that wrong). I believe at the time that he promoted this car as Canada'a First Funny Car.
Thanks for sharing your photographs. Truly appreciated.

Yep - mid to late 50's. They ran at Cayuga and New Baltimore Michigan mostly. Neat stories when you can get these guys talking. They raced Connie Kiletta, Bob Hayward

Neat pic of the Pirate. Anyone know how Stu's doing?
I gave Stu a call around Christmas Mike....he seemed well on the phone......told him he was missed.... he just chuckled. I'll have to get up his way once the snow leaves....always has some great stories.
