The next step is the wood floor for the box. I was able to find some kiln dried 2 1/4" thick Black Walnut planks between 7 and 10 inches wide, that I will be using for the floor. What I've done, is had them ripped in half on a band saw, so I made 2 boards from 1 plank. This will allow me to Book Match the boards (1 board will be a mirror image of the other when laid out) I still have a Gallon of clear left over from the paint job, so I guess the wood will be shiny too...Lol

That wood work will look cool. Making it shiny will help when you shovel out the load of dirt you carry around, you know, like they do in the new truck commercials where they have a huge excavator dump 2 cubic metres of dirt into your box from 20' in the air! Like really...who does that?! Nice paint, looks real deep.

Beautiful paint Moobster!!!There's no wonder left why you were asking about compounds and polishing….but, there's always that but…as an owner of a black car…you're going to hate yourself in the morning. Join the club!!!
Hopefully next year in Toronto. I was really hoping you still had your display when I replied to that post. oh well, got a year to find another or build one.
Beautiful job, that is one sharp looking truck, sure hope you will drive it around sometime in the summer, look forward to seeing it in Simcoe on a Wednesday night at A&W or one of the shows around, excellent work.
That's why I asked. I knew you were planning, I just wasn't sure if it was this winter (Detroit, Toronto). We'll see it when your finished. I sold my display right at the time you were looking. My display will be on display at both shows....hope I win a trophy LOL!!!
