Thanks Bob, it was a lot of work but I'm sure this think will rock the village now

i put the shackles on the car first and it seemed a little loose in the back and now those slappers have tightened everything up

Got a bit of vibration in the steering wheel, my neighbour thinks I may have the steering couplings out of phase
I used pipe dope on the threads, maybe I should have used Loktite

Pipe dope is fine, as long as you don't let it run and hang. You gotta smear it or clean it up with your finger, like when you do caulking. I see he has the proper 1/4"-NPT set screws there! I hope he used a left hand thread pipe nipple, you know so he can adjust the play in the steering! I would have used 3/8"NPT myself, given the tight clearance to the exhaust manifold. That thing must hook up like crazy....in reverse! LOL!

Never even thought of tape , how stupid of me

Thanks Glen

i'm not going to worry about phasing the couplings until after I tape the threads

 Thanks for the input

i couldn't find a left/right combination nipple so it is just a normal right hand nipple but I used left hand threaded bolts on the rag joint

axeually I thot the chain driven steering column was kinda cool ,,,, but I think with frame flex / twist etc it needs some kinda tensioner . BUT usually you put the tensioner on the slack side , so you would have to put one on each side of the chain , or maybe I,m just over engineering it .
Every time I see a set of reversed slapper bars , It makes me wanna go and re read the instructions on my cal trac set up for my gremlin drag car ..77.

Need to get some constant velocity u joints for the Suzuki, the pinion angles are a little too steep, or I may just lower the transfer case

That rear spoiler is not legal if you look it up. It should have a light beacon for aircraft on it I would think.
