From my understanding Glenn, they are still around. A friend of mine just did business with them 3 weeks ago. There was a quick post on this a few weeks ago. Already starting a new project are we? LOL!
Yep...sign on the door saying locks changed by landlord March 18th. Most if not all equipment is still inside. Hope Joe is ok and he can get it worked out.
i heard a rumor this was going to happened. My nieghbour helped me get my partially completed chassis out of there before the locks were changed. I didn't lose any money but now I have a partially completed chassis in my garage.
I really like Joe and it's unfortunate this happened.
Man that sucks, I was heading down there this week to order a complete '32 set-up and another front end. Tried calling too, hopefully he is taking the week to get re-organized and get it all back.
Joe, if you read this give me a shout, I'll help if I can.
we are a performance parts dealer for many manufactures.
Why do people come on here boasting of their business but post no info. If what you make or sell is of interest or can be of use to members, them post it up in the vendors section or elaborate.

It was obviously meant as a joke but the reality of it is Canadian Tire is a distributor for Keystone Auto and Keystone has access to basically everything and anything performance related.

Yes we are also a keystone dealer...,However keystone is not our first choice for any orders...
Although due to the inequality of the currency we do from to time order from them.
It's a shame the way things turned out there. It was a good product! Everything welded was made in-house! Similar to Welder Series. Though, my hat is off to D.W at Welder Series... fantastic welder!
I was laid off a year before they closed down. So, I can't speak for anything that came out of there after mid 2013. The welder that was there when I left was good! Hard worker! The shop he ended up in is lucky to have him!

Well, Joe was a good guy but I'm not so sure about the products. I have rust on my dropped axle and the coupe's never seen rain. It lives in a heated garage and stays clean so I disagree here. I also had some chrome peeling off a caliper bracket but Joe did replace that.

Frame build at Lucky 7, Check your welds, I was 2 doors from my house, after doing about 110 KPH, when the bracket holding the steering box broke right off the frame, lucky, 2 nights later clutch bracket broke off frame. Looks good, but now worry, what's next.

Yikes ....
I wouldn't be able to trust any welds on that frame after that. Just curious, was every weld ground smooth for appearance? Any pics?
No pics, didn't think of that. Ayr Welding came by the next morn, made a bracket, welded it, and came back 2 days later, and repaired the clutch bracket, Great service. Hard to tell if anything else is compromised.
When did you buy the chassis?
I am surprised that those brackets broke off... Out of all the welds on there.
What chassis is it? T bucket, Model A, 32, 33-34, 35-40 or custom?
Noticing the absolutely horrid angle difference between the steering arm and the suspension arm, as well as how close the pitman arm/steering arm is to the ground PLUS the fact that VERY important brackets are falling off the car .... the shop closing it's door comes as no surprise to me. That steering box should have either been mounted on top of the frame, or replaced with a box that has the pitman arm pointing up.
Before anyone goes off on a "what have YOU built" rant .... let me remind you that the STEERING BOX BASICALLY FELL OFF THE CAR after spending good money at a "professional" shop

I'm happy to say I was long gone when this was built! I'd like to have been involved in it, though (cause its a pretty cool ride)
The pitman should be facing up to run parallel with the ground... I'm not sure there is frame clearance for it though.
All the same, having worked there at some point, I'm sorry you have had these problems!
If there is not a locating spline on the box, flip the pitman arm and bend it for clearance if needed. You might need a different length pitman arm to get close to parallel with the hairpins , but that will change the steering ratio. This probably should be a new thread.
This pitman arm or the steering arm that should be bolted to the spindle?
The pitman arm in your pic shows it way under the rail, while the angle of the steering link makes it look like the steering arm is on top of the knuckle.
Ok. How does the steering feel now? I wonder if they couldn't get a reversed box or something and that is why is is so low on the frame with a high mounted steering arm.
There's no problem with the steering, turns on a dime, straight on the road. Liked to wander at first, but after a few adjustments, runs true and straight.
